But he had heard it. And it terrified him. But he kept close to her, kept dancing because he knew he could tell her he wasn’t perfect and she’d get it. “I’m far from perfect Kaylee.” He responded quietly, truthfully. He knew there was far too much of his father in him to be perfect. Shane was well aware that he was far from a terrible person, but not far enough to be perfect. “There are things about me that no one knows, that I don’t tell anyone that make me far from perfect, you should know that.”
He didn’t talk to many people about his past, about all of his family secrets. It was his thing- he didn’t air his dirty laundry out to anyone accept the people he knew from childhood. That made about five people that knew everything about him and that was good enough for him. These were the people he trusted the most, the ones he trusted with his life. It was almost like a brotherhood- only much less dark and a lot more skateboarding. “But then again…” He laughed softly. “How many guys have danced with you in a grocery store?”

From the second Kaylee said it she knew she had probably made a mistake. Shane wasn't one to roll in his glory and she knew he had lots of things hid behind those eyes. She nodded her head understanding that he might not be perfect. No one really was perfect. Part of her wanted to know his past so badly. Be able to comfort him in the pain that he carried with him everywhere. She knew he was dealing with lots and she could see it in his eyes. He had cared for her when she told him and she knew she could be the same to him. But she would never ask. Never.
She continued to nod and agree, but then looked up at him. "None, until now." She smiled a bit. It wasn't that Shane was this all around perfect guy, it was just that he was perfect with her. She didn't want to tell him that, because she knew she'd only scare him, but it was true. "I know you have a lot of hurt in your past Shane" She spoke softly. "But the thing that makes you great is that you still care, so much." She desperately hoped she hadn't said to much. She cared for Shane far too much that she hoped it wouldn't jeopardized their friendship, or whatever they had.
She continued to hold onto him and step as they spoke. It took everything inside of her not to kiss him. It seemed perfect, sure. But she wasn't, just like in his room, she contained herself, and things turned out fine. If he felt the way she did, he would decide when it was right.

He listened to her as she replied to him, taking in every word she said. Was he that easy to read? He didn’t think so, but clearly he thought wrong. He had had a good childhood, but hidden under that happy childhood was a life of lies and betrayal that he had learnt about and come to understand not too long ago. That part of him he carried around with him everywhere was part of him and no one elses to worry about. That was a lesson his father had taught him and it was one of the few things he’d carry with him for the rest of his life.
He looked down at her, and the overwhelming urge to kiss her came over him again. He had nothing to say- no words to offer her. A thank you would have just been weird, so that was out of the question. Kissing her seemed not only the most logical, but the only option left for him. He wanted it, he hoped she wanted it. So he went for it.
Still smiling, but softly, he leant down and pressed his lips to hers for a moment, lingering on the familiar taste of her lip gloss before pulling away and resting his forehead on hers, breathing deep. He would let her take the next step if she wanted to. He had kissed her, now if she really did want to kiss him too she could, and this time he wouldn’t run away from the feelings he had.

As Kaylee looked up at him he leaned down and kissed her softly. It seemed like every part of her wanted to scream. She was so excited. He must have felt something as well. She kissed back softly let their lips stay connected for a couple seconds before he pulled away and leaned his forehead against hers. She smiled softly. There were no words to speak between the both of them. Any words would spoil the moment. She lingered in his eyes a bit before she brought her lips up to his again. The arms that were wrapped around his neck moved down and brushed along his neck. She left one of her hands at back of his face. She rubbed her fingers up into the back of his hair. Her other arm rested at his lower back running her hand up and down for a bit.
She kissed his lips so softly, sucking gently on his bottom lip. She opened her mouth a bit kissing him a bit harder. She never thought in her entire life something like this would be happening. In the back of a supermarket there stood these two attractive people, in different times in their life, holding each other passionately. She didn't want to stop. She didn't want to let go.

He had stopped swaying with her before he had kissed her, and now they just stood in the middle of the grocery store kissing one another. He kept his arms wrapped around her big slowly slid them to just above the small of her back, pulling her a little closer to him as he smiled against her lips. Who wouldn’t?
Goosebumps formed on his skin as her hands trailed down to his neck, and the small smile on his lips grew just the tiniest bit. He nipped down gently on her bottom lip before she had matched her own to his again, and he responded, kissing her back. He felt her lips part to his, and though he was rather surprised he reciprocated, kissing her deeper than he had before. He knew their fair luck in not having anyone walk up on them wouldn’t last forever, but it was working out for them so far so he would take advantage of it. He gently nipped at her bottom lip again, his smirk growing against her mouth. They could have fun with this.

She felt his lips form a smile against hers and couldn't help but giggle a bit. She was notorious for giggling but this wasn't just any giggle. It was one that really proved she was happy. Kissing Shane was so much fun. The taste of him was so perfect. She moved to sucking on his bottom lip to sucking on his top lip. She played with his top lip with her tongue a bit, running the tip of her tongue along his lips. After they began to kiss a bit harder she slowly moved her tongue into his mouth, rubbing his tongue with hers. Their tongues began to twirl.
Kaylee's soft fingers run up and down his back gently. She pushed her hand gently up the front of his shirt outlining his abs with her fingers. She began to giggle a bit against his lips again. She pulled her hand from his stomach and continued to move her hand up his chest and then resting it on his neck again. She ran her tongue along his lips again as she took his hand and guided it underneath the bottom of her shirt, almost directing it where to go. Suddenly they heard some people talking and a cart was pushed around the corner. They quickly pulled away from each other and just into each others eyes, smiling. As the person with the cart walked on by them Kaylee and Shane looked at each other without even saying anything and just began to laugh at the same time.

He smiled even wider against her lips as she giggled against his own. How could he not? He kissed her back, pressing his lips a little harder to hers and sucking gently on her bottom lip as she moved herself to his top. The feel of her tongue on his own was a tempting one, and he fell to it. He sucked gently on her tongue, tilting his head to allow them both better access to each other.
His abdomen muscles contracted under the feel of her fingertips and he smirked against her lips again, letting her lead his hands wherever she wanted them. He felt her cool, soft skin under her shirt and gently worked his fingers on the small of her back. Gently, he nipped on her bottom lip, tugging after she had run her tongue along his own. She was quite the tease and there was no doubt that he enjoyed it. He pulled away from her as he heard whoever it was coming around the corner, looking to her and doing his best not to laugh. A wide grin spread across his face and he looked down to his shoes, shoving both of his hands in his back pockets for something to do. His eyes skimmed up her body to her face again, but as soon as he saw her laughing he had to close his eyes to make himself stop. What a situation they had found themselves in.

She continued to laugh a bit. She was so content with them. She was afraid that their friendship would be weird now that they have kissed but something really just seemed to click, she felt confident in them. Something just seemed okay between the both of them. She smiled a bit and grabbed the handle of the shopping cart and began to push it a bit. She looked over at him and gave him the smile that she had felt from the second they pulled away.
"You're not half as bad as before" She laughed a bit teasing him for the way he kissed.
She knew he was going to shoot a insult right back in her way andshe attempted to prepare for it, as she placed other frozen foods into the cart. She was excited to head back to his dorm and cook with him. Shane was an awesome guy to hang out with and she could spend hours at end with him. She began to think of what they could do together after they ate their mac and cheese. She was thinking a movie, or a game or even just lay with each other. Anything they did, they had tons of fun.

He followed behind her and laughed at her comment about him being a better kisser this time around. He caught up to her, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind resting his chin on her shoulder, gently kissing the soft skin just below her ear so she could hear as he whispered. “Hm maybe because I was prepared this time.” He replied, grinning and nibbling down on her earlobe softly.
There was something about her that just made him relax, made him feel like he could be him and only him. He didn’t have to put up any kind of a face and she’d still like him. Not that he had ever been fake at home; he had always been California Shane, but it got him into quite a bit of trouble with people sometimes. Oh well, those people hardly mattered right now.
Shane stood up straight again, moving around so his hands were just resting on her hips as he looked down the aisle for anything appetizing. He grabbed a box of pizza pops and threw it in the cart over her shoulder. Typical guy shopping.

She smiled wide as soon as she felt the pressure of his arms around her waist. She was so content with them. Her tiny waist seem to fit into him more perfectly then they could have imagined. He rested his head on her shoulder like he trusted her. It felt good to her, she really felt like he had opened up to her and accepted her into his heart. She knew it was hard for him but she was glad, she would never do anything to hurt him.
He leaned up and kissed below her ear and it sent small shivers down her spine. He teased her wonderfully. But she loved every second of it. His words spoke so softly that she could barely understand his teasing. She knew he was joking but part of liked what he said. Yes he was more prepared this time. Which meant he really had wanted it. She wanted to kiss him more and more and more. She wanted to see every inch of his body, and kiss it.
He continued to grab more food. She laughed a little bit as she had before. "Do you have the money to pay for all of this?" She giggled a bit, hopefully he did. She would feel horrible if he couldn't and she offended him. She thought they should probably head up to the check out, if they didn't their cart would be too full to move. His fingers continued to rest on her hips as he stood behind her, and she smiled to herself.

“More than enough- don’t even worry about it.” He smiled down at her, leading her down another aisle and looking up and down the shelves. ”I interned at my dad’s company for a year and his boss paid me generously.” He laughed, not quite seeing anything that suit his fancy. Mind you it was the health nut aisle.
Something inside told him not to go too fast with this girl too soon. It told him to take it slow, keep things simple at first- just until they really truly got to know one another. He didn’t want to lead her to think he was someone he really wasn’t. The last thing he wanted to do was disappoint her when she figured out he was quite a messy lad and he hated picking his towels up off of his bathroom floor.
Moments later, the cell phone in his back pocket rang. He gently held her hips for a moment so they both stopped and he reached for it, flipping it open to an unknown number and answering. “Hello?” He was puzzled, but the reply on the end of the phone clarified things. He looked to Kaylee and held up a finger. “Just a sec.” He mouthed. “Mhm. Mhm. Awesome. Kay thanks. Yeah I’ll be there sometime today. Thanks again. Bye.” Was essentially what she would have heard on the other end of the line. He snapped his phone shut and shoved it back into his pocket.
“Well apparently my apartments ready- my mom had all my stuff from home shipped there.” He laughed, running a hand through his extremely already messy hair. “Looks like I’ve got somewhere else to move into now.” He said, guiding her down the aisle again.

Kaylee was a bit jealous, money for her wasn't easy, but she was quite interested in the new things she found out about Shane. She nodded her head. "Wow, that sounds awesome." She paused fixing her hair a bit. "What did you do?"
He would have had time to answer her question but his phone rang and he picked it up. He stepped away a bit as he spoke on the phone. Kaylee looked around to the signs at the top of the aisle's wondering if their was anything else that she wanted, or that they would need. That's always the kind of person she was. She had always had to fend for herself so she tempted to look into the future a couple of days ahead, where as most people simply did things day to day. She couldn't really think of anything else they would need and she looked back down at Shane. His phone conversation was done and he turned back to her. He had a joyful look on his face and Kaylee got excited for some good news.
As soon as he told her she congratulated him. She was excited. A new apartment was always fun, moving in your stuff into a bigger place than a dorm would be wonderful. She was happy for him. She leaned her arm over to his and took a couple of his fingers gently, holding onto them a bit, she looked down at them and back up at him. "Would you like some help moving in?" She asked sweetly. She would love to help him move in, but completely understood if he had it covered, or had, had enough of her for today.
