A very cheerful Bobby made her way down Times Square, a huge smile plastered across her face. Walk Like A Man by Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons was blasting through her earphones which was the cause for her happiness. "Walk like a man. Talk like a man. Walk like a man my sooooon" She sang as she moved her body to the beat, trying to avoid hitting people. "Walk like a man. Fast as I can. Walk like a man from yooooooouu." She stopped in her tracks to belt out the 'you' before she began to walk, well dance her way down Times Square. Her voice might not have been the best but it was better then some other peoples. It was pretty average if you thought about it.
When the song had ended she found herself walking past a hog dog vendor. She smell of the hot dogs caught her attention and as the next song started, Who Loves You Pretty Baby by Frankie Valli & The Four Season, she pushed pause so that once she had her hot dog she could try eating, dancing and singing her way down Times Square.
Making her way further down Times Square, not exactly sure where she was headed, Bobby pushed play on iPod but didn't feel like listening to any more Frankie Valli. Sure they were awesome but now that she had the hot dog she wanted her full attention to be on that and if Frankie Valli was playing, well she would get distracted and then start singing and probably drop her hot dog because she was getting into it so much.
She scrolled through her list of songs and stopped when she got to Good Vibrations by Marky Mark, now known as Mark Wahlberg. It was such a shame he didn't rap any more. He was so awesome. But things end unfortunately music career did. Still, it didn't mean that his song wasn't awesome. "Wooooo" Bobby said as she closed her eyes and started dancing, once again, her way down Times Square. This was just the kind of song that she could let loose to and let loose she did. She was moving around so crazy that she didn't see what she was doing or where she was going. Then smack. Her hot dog dropped on the ground and she had accidentally bumped into someone. She immediately pulled out her earphones and looked down at the ground at her now contaminated Hot Dog. "Aww man" She said with a frown on her face since her hot dog was gone. She looked back and barely saw the Hot Dog vendor and she couldn't be bothered going back to get one.
Then realising that the reason her Hot Dog was on the ground was because she had hit someone. Her head turned again, facing the person she had bumped into. Her eyes trailed up their body, working their way from his feet up to his face. His very gorgeous face. "Oh.. sorry. Im kinda clumsy when im hyper" She said with a little giggle as her cheeks turned a light shade of pink, embarrassed at her behavious in front of such a good looking guy who probably thought she was a freak.

Vince pressed the numbers on his black SLVR phone in various orders to form words. The guy could text in his sleep if he wanted to, just a habit and a form of communication that many thrived on, including him. Black headphones were stuck in his ears, connected to his cellular device while Itunes chose the song for him. So as The Church of Hot Addiction by Cobra Starship finished playing, it was quite for a second. And Vince finished off his text message to a friend.
The next song was a favorite of his, Psycho by System of Down. Easy to relate to and good to sing along out loud too but it wasn't something that he did on a normal basis. The song blasted into his ears, probably putting everybody around him in concert too. Times Square was a nice place to walk in, as much as he didn't' seem like it, Vince like to take walks wherever he could. Especially in the rain and in alleyways, but he knew why he went into alleyways.
You could say his habits weren't all the best and his reputation as a druggie was almost as notorious as his relationship habits. Drugs had ruined a few of his relationships unfortunately, but what could you do? Looking up for a split second he spotted a Hot Dog vendor, it sounded good but he wasn't all that hungry. It reminded him of all the times he'd stolen from a vendor or something as a kid in New York City. Not so good times and made the food even less appealing
Vince continued walking and began to answer a text message that he had just received. His thumb pressed the numbers in random orders and repeatedly. Keyboards were nice too but you had to adapt to whatever you could get, that's what he grew up on. The Phone distracted him, so he didn't take notice to the girl that was singing and dancing around, not that he would have heard her in the first place, but he did notice as they collided with each other, sending her hot dog to the ground.
The vendor was gone by now, so it was lost. Vince ignored his text message and pulled his headphones out of her ear and stuck them in his pocket along with his phone. "Its alright, wasn't paying attention." He replied, his eyes taking a quick look over on her, till they stuck on her face. Vince didn't know her, but he felt that he should now. She was very pretty and attraction was immediate by lust. Normal feelings, though he was sober for once. Her pink cheeks told him a bit of embarrassment.
"I'm Vince by the way." He introduced himself.
[[bleh. pretty bad. i'm at school xD]]

[[tis fine.. soo sorry for the late reply.. last week was my first week at work and so i was nackered when i came home.. btw sorry its crap.. i don't have an excuse lol]]
Bobby shook her head when he said it was alright. She was being silly and hyper and acting like that made her lose her hot dog. "No I should have been watching where I was going" She said getting a little embarrassed, something that was pretty unusual for her. She was always usually out there and happy-go-lucky. Not the girl that blushes every time she's in the presence of a male. But things change and she couldn't help that.
Grabbing the earphones that were hanging from her shirt, she wrapped them around her iPod and shoved it into her pocket thinking that she wouldn't be needing her music if she was going to be talking to someone. She figured she'd be talking to him for a little while since he introduced himself. People don't just do that unless they wanted to talk to you, and she was glad he did coz he was hott with an extra t. "Hey I'm Bobby" She said extending a hand for a proper greeting. To her shaking hands was a proper greeting, it was more intimate then just saying your name and was better then hugging if you didn't know the person.
"So Vince, where ya from?" She asked, unsure if she should start walking or just stand there talking. Walking might be easier, it made the silences less awkward, if there were going to be any awkward silences so she slowly started to walk, looking back at him as an indication that he should start walking too. She slyly looked him up and down out of the corner of her eye since the look she first got was an 'oops who did i hit' kind of look. Her quick once over of him put a small smirk on her face, definitely liking what she was seeing. But he was covered up. Her mind wandered to other things, things that are usually in a mans mind but she didn't care. She had a healthy sexual apetite and wasn't ashamed to admit it.
Curious about whether he was single or not, Bobby was mainly thinking about if she should ask him if he was seeing anyone or not. She didn't want to seem to eager but she still wanted to ask. Her curiousity got the better of her and she couldn't hold it in any longer. "Hey, I don't wanna seem desperate or anything but are you seeing anyone?" She asked, fiddling with her fingers, a slightly nervous habit of hers. But she wasn't too nervous. She was still talking after all. "Coz I don't know if you've noticed but I've been checking you out and im not particularly fond of flirting with taken guys" She said stopping dead in her tracks. That would get her intentions across more quick and straight forward so that there was no mucking around. Because she was sick of looking at guys and flirting only to find out a long time later that they were taken. That seemed to be her bad luck lately.

It was typical, both persons taking blame for something simple that could have been avoided but wasn't and ended up with good results after all. If he really wanted too, Vince could have simply said something along the lines of they had both run into each other and it was both of their faults, but the blame bouncing back and forth was fun for a conversation even if that portion now ended. No, he wasn't embarrassed, nervous or anything like that. Those type of emotions haven't occurred for him in a long time, socially interacting with people just came natural for him, especially with girls. This was no different, except for the instant attraction he felt for this one.
They introduced themselves and he felt alright around her, not rejected like some did, and her name was unique almost, so easy to remember. Only a couple times had Vince forgotten a girls name, and often that didn't end so well. A handshake initiated whatever this would become too, so far just a conversation. There were so many words to describe Bobby, she had a nice smile, so you could say Vince found her extremely attractive and for once he was sober during this greeting experience. "Nice to meet ya" He said after the handshake, her hands were smaller than his, and soft, he liked them and they seemed to fit quite perfectly in his.
"I've been quite a few places, New York, L.A. and here mostly." He responded just giving the bare basics of it. Not even his closest friends knew where he was from. Born in New York, grew up there and Los Angeles and some here in New Jersey. Made his speech unique in some aspects, picking up some of the dialect from the East and West Coast. "What about you?" He wondered, returning the same question, hopefully it would give them something to talk about, though away from personal histories because that was a sensitive part for him. Vince walked after her as she began, the view he had from behind was spectacular, his mind getting ideas. Not his fault, he was a guy and he got around so you knew what was inside his brain.
It didn't occur to him at first to figure out if she was single and available. Not that it would have mattered much if she wasn't. Vince had lost count of how many times he'd gotten with a taken girl or he'd cheated on his relationships. Another informable habit that he wouldn't share. "Nope. Single as can be." He responded a smirk on his face, wondering if she had the same ideas that he had. Her admittance of her notice to him was flattering of course, "Really? I'm flattered, looks like this is a two-sided conversation then." He responded, letting her know that they both could be thinking the same thing. "So I take it your single too then?" He asked, so they could both determine each other's status and hopefully go from there.
Vince wouldn't call it bad luck when he got with a taken girl. He was a guy after all and any luck was good luck, unless it was like this and felt more than that. So far he managed not to get slapped, kneed or told off, so it was good. Hopefully it would stay that way and he felt that he wanted something from this.

The thought that he didn't want to talk about his past, or where he was from much came into Bobby's mind, since he gave her a simple but efficient answer before asking where she was from. That was something she didn't like much either but if he wanted to know she wasn't going to keep it from him. "Californian, Born & Bred.. Pasadena to be more specific" She said hoping that was enough but if he did want to know more she would be willing to tell him. "I hate it there though, thats why im living in New York" She quickly added, turning her head straight so she was watching where she was going. She didn't want to look like a fool by walking into people two times in less then 10 minutes.
The short lived nervousness that Bobby had encountered seemed to go as fast as it had come. She was now feeing very comfortable and much more like herself. She didn't feel like she was being judged in any way, shape or form. It was an unusual feeling, coming from California where everyone judged you the second they met you, the same could basically be said for New Yorkers too, but they were more laid back then Californians. Something she appreciated dearly.
A smirk appeared on her face and dirty thoughts entered her mind the second he said that he was single. She couldn't help it, it was just the way she was. A quiet chuckle escaped her lips when he commented on how it was a two sided conversation. His way of telling her that she wasn't the only one with that on her mind. "Glad to hear it" She winked at him before letting a quiet laugh out. "Well now, if I wasn't single do you think I would have told you that I was checking you out?" She said with a fake surprised look on her face. "Im not that kind of girl, Vince" She said, her head shaking side to side as she resisted the urge to smirk. "Well not all time im not" She said giving in to the smirk and looking at him through the corner of her eyes in a flirtatious way.
Wondering what to say Bobby kept walking with her head down looking at the ground. That usually helped her think when she was walking. Finally a topic came popped into her head, it wasn't that great but atleast it meant some words would be exchanged. "So, Vince. What do you do?" She quirked her head in his direction, looking at him so she could see his face incase work was something else he didn't like talking about.
Every time her eyes were on him they always wandered up and down his body. She bit her bottom lip, wondering to herself what he looked like under all those clothes. She wasn't going to tell him that was what she was thinking though, but she was sure that biting her lip and looking him up and down would have given it away.

Most people didn't want other people knowing their background, yet they still told all the details and anything. Hypocritical in his mind, but he didn't bother pointing it out, not his problem. Him on the other hand, well he was more private about certain details that lay in his shadow and made him. Still sometimes it was nice to rant everything, but only to the right people, would she become one of those right people he could talk to and whatnot? Still so far they were on the same level, both lived some part of their life in California, different parts though, didn't matter, same state. And both weren't keen on living in this place, New York was their home evidently.
"Same, though I don't hate it here, just not very keen on living here." He responded, the locations were fine, if this did indeed go any further transportation didn't seem like it would pose a problem. Vince plus long distance relationships equaled disaster, hell half the time he sort of cheats when they are next door. But she didn't need to know that either. Being with a fellow New Yorker made things smoother. In Los Angeles, when Vince had lived there, things were so different, the people were just different. The way they looked at you and first impressions, it was like a flip world sometimes.
Now that they had come to the conclusion that they were both interested, the question came to his mind on what to do. They were both single adults with, what he figured, a sexual appetite that sometimes went hungry, well what was the obvious thing to do? A wink confirmed that maybe she was on the same level he was at. Kind of a miracle that he'd found some girl who didn't slap him for these kind of thoughts and questions and conversation for that matter. He liked her, she was cool and not annoying or anything. "Just thought i'd make sure, you never know." He responded, girls were odd these days, cheated just as much as guys did.
She was teasing him subtley he could tell, the way she smiled and looked at him and her comments. This was the start of a good relationship the way he saw it. There was a slight pause in the conversation and then she asked him on what he did. The obvious question was pertaining to employement. Sure his jobs weren't always steady, but they payed. Most of his work was done underground, figuratively speaking, drugs sold well and he made most of his cash of that. "I do security at a bunch of different places." Not well known places, but that was for a reason of course, but he really didn't care if she picked up his fib or not.
They didn't have eye contact at all times, but when they didn't he found a nice view in her. He had to admit she was nice to look at and he liked that. Vince figured it was the same the other way around, he knew that there was something about him that attracted females or he wouldn't have all the reputation he had under his belt. Well you now what he means. "So if you don't like this place that much, why do you hang around here?" He wondered, normally people tend to stay away from things they don't particularly like, this should have been the same case, but not all people were the same. Right now he was also thinking of someting else they could do but walk in the freezing weather.
"Hey, are you busy tonight? I was thinking we could go to a club or something." He asked, hoping things would swing in a good direction.

[[sooo sorry about the really long reply.. took me a week :[ my only excuse is lack of muse and thats not a very good one.. btw im copying your 'style' hehe]]
Not being her usual clued on self, Bobby didn't realise that he didn't actually work security. Well not the normal security that she was thinking of like standing guard at different Walmart's. He was fibbing and she didn't pick up on it. No worry though, it wasn't absolutely necessary that she knew what he done for a living. "Security huh. Sounds good" Her mind wandered to whether he'd ask her what she would do. She was proud of what she done, but usually when she told people they'd show up all the time trying to score free drinks or something like that. That was the unfortunate part of being a Coyote. Well that and getting your ass grabbed 20 times a night by smelly drunk guys. Vince wasn't smelly though, and he wasn't drunk so that were 2 good things already.
A confused expression appeared on Bobby's face when he asked why she was there if she didn't like it. Who said she didn't like it? He must've misunderstood her when she said that she hated it there when she was talking about California. She wouldn't be living in New York if she didn't like it, only crazy people done that, or really poor ones that didn't have enough money to leave. "Oh I don't hate it here. Only California. Thats why I moved all the way over here, to be far far away from that shit hole"
He wanted to go out, it wasn't that big of a surprise but it was nice. She hadn't 'gone out' with a guy in a while because of work so this should be good. Fortunately for him two of the girls that worked with Bobby had picked something up from one of the customers and were at home with a bowl of chicken soup courtesy of Bobby Ryan. "Lucky for you, Vince..." A small pause interrupted her sentence when she realised that he hadn't told her his last name but she didn't mind, she'd still continue with what she was saying. "Two of my girls are sick so the bar wont be open tonight." She smirked as she popped her collar to shield her neck from the cold wind that was rushing towards them. "If you couldn't tell that means im free." She winked playfully at him, teasing him.
"So what club do you have in mind? Hopefully its not a strip club" She said in a half serious, half joking tone which made it hard to know if she was actually serious or joking. "Nah really, not a strip club" She said seriously this time. "One of my last dates was at a strip club.. I don't think I have to say it but it was one of the worst dates i've been on. I mean, what prick wants to have a date at a strip club. With butts and boobs flying all over the place." Her face scrunched up at the memory of the date and him drooling all over the strippers. It was sickening. Sure she danced on a bar at her work but she didn't take her clothes off.
Her expression went straight but she looked into the distance, still obviously remembering it. "But thats what I get for agreeing to go on a date with a guy that I met at my bar.. I should have known he was a dick since he was pissed off his face when I met him" She managed a laugh at her idiotic decisions but soon forgot them when she looked at Vince. He didn't seem anything like that loser at the bar and hopefully he wasn't, but she was going to find that out later that night at the club.

[[hehe thats fine. i've been busy too, and tired and stuff. ]]
It didn't surprise Vince that Bobby took the bait and believed his little lie on his current occupation. It wasn't really an occupation, more just habit than anything, but it was all the same. He secured his goods and money, so technically he didn't lie, just create a different description of it, thats all. "So what do you do?" He returned the question back to her, there were a couple of things running through his head that somebody like her might do, but he didn't say anything out loud, he didn't feel like offending anybody today, especially somebody he had just met.
California never really stuck to Vince, it was horrible in many ways. The weather had its mood swings, people were just odd in different places, things were overly priced and he could rant on and one about it, especially L.A. Vince nodded his head to show he understood. "Not a very pleasant place" He muttered in agreement to her comment. On this coast things were so much better, from the weather to the food, or maybe it just seemed that way to him because his memories of L.A. weren't all that fantastic and memorable.
Vince listened intently as she proclaimed his luck in someway, and paused and he figured out she was mentally searching for his last name. "Scofield" He added for her and waited for her to continue. She said something about a bar being closed, normally that wouldn't have been a good occasion, but it was when an interest was free due to the circumstance. Vince smirked a little after her wink, so she was free and accepted his offer, looks like a good day had quickly turned into a good one after all. "Awesome" He said, glad that things were going well so far.
"I generally don't take people to a strip club" What he meant by it was that he didn't take a date there or something, more like go on your own and walk out, hopefully, not alone or go with a buddie or something. Definitely not the dating place but it surprised Vince just how many married men he saw there sometimes. He almost laughed at her description of this date, no he wouldn't do such a thing, never even considered it. "Why don't you pick?" He offered, not really caring where they really went, as long as it was fun and had drinks and all that jazz.
"We generally try lots of things like that when we're drunk enough" He joked, not sure if remembering that changed her mood. As much of a womanizer that he was, Vince still allowed them their respect, not like some random drunk guy who just wanted a piece of ass or something.

Bobby found herself hesitating to tell him what she done but since he had told her what he done, it was only fair that she do the same. What was the harm anyway? "Oh well.. Im a.." She struggled finding the right word to say what she done. Most people didn't know what she meant when she said Coyote but if she said dancer then they automatically thought she was a stripper. "Im a Coyote. Like from the movie Coyote Ugly" She added before he asked her what she meant by Coyote.
She laughed when he said that he didn't take people to strip clubs. "Well thats good to know" She chuckled, starting to think of places they could go. Did he mean a nightclub or a jazz club or what. "You mean nightclub right?" She asked to confirm, although she was pretty sure he did mean nightclub. She didn't know many guys his age that liked taking girls to Jazz Clubs as a first date. Although they were nice, she wasn't much of a jazz fan.
"There's one in Huntley," She looked up at him to see what he thought of going to one in Huntley. "I taught a couple of the bartenders that work there so im sure we'll be able to get a couple drinks for free from them" She looked forward again before glancing at him every once and a while. "Free drinks are always good." She grinned looking at him before looking forward again.
That was a weird thing about her. She never liked looking at people for too long, she always had to look forward and then look back at them or just look in another direction or at something else. Looking at people for longer then about 10 seconds always made her a little nervous. Unless she was at a concert or something. Then you had to look at the performers. Thats why they were there. "How does that sound?" She looked at him out of the corner of her eye, awaiting his reaction.

Vince noticed her slight hesitant moment after his question. If she didn't want to discuss it, then that was fine though then he would be quite curious about it. Or maybe it was just one of those dramatic pauses to emulate her occupation if it earned it. But then her hesitant answer fully came out and he wasn't shocked or driven away by it or anything. Just speechless. "Really? Thats cool." It was, but how do you answer that, especially with the type of guy he was, on the inside he was all but jumping up for joy. And yes, he would have known what she had meant by 'coyote'. But he'd been there several times and never seen her. "So how come I've never seen you there before?" Maybe he had and not remembered or something.
He grinned slightly, if he was on a date usually dinner or a nightclub was involved. But a strip club in his mind was meant for guys really, not a date. Even he knew that it was inappropriate. He nodded, yes a strip club. Vince didn't have much of a taste for Jazz Clubs all that much, missed the excitement and recklessness of a nightclub. Besides they were too quite in his mind and it was fun getting wasted in a club or high or something. Sort of like a Teenage Wasteland, but with adults instead.
"I actually live out there." He responded. "Free drinks are always great." Heck, almost anything that was free was good. Not that he had much of a problem with money, but he wasn't rich. Just somewhat modestly making his way through. They continued walking. Today had so far been a good day, he'd run into a girl because they'd both been distracted but seem to have their attention on each other. He didn't mind, not one bit because now he was going with her to a club. Maybe he could introduce her to some of the work he did, if she wanted.
"Sounds good." He said offering her a grin. "So when can I pick you up?" He asked, assuming that he could pick her up. Made things convenient and he was feeling nice, just for her. There was just something about her that caught his eye and attention, keeping it there for longer than usual.

Bobby was a little surprised that he had been there before. By there she meant Coyote Ugly. She had been working there for a long time now and she didn't recognise him. Strange considering how hot he was, she usually notices the hot guys straight away. Maybe she just never served him whenever he was there. "I don't know. I've been working there a few years." She looked at him sideways, trying to remember if she had seen him there but she just couldn't.
Bobby wasn't that shocked when he said he lived out there. It seemed that most of the people she knew lived in Huntley. It was kinda weird since she didn't always go to Huntley, although she found herself out there alot these days, what with her sister now attending Rutherford aswell as her best friend. If she was still there this would be her third year, but she dropped out in her first semester. She didn't feel like going to school so instead she moved to New York and became a bartender full time. She had more fun and learnt more there then she ever did at her one semester at Rutherford. She thought that school was a little over-rated but people still payed big bucks to go there. A huge mistake in her eyes.
"Umm, how about 8" She answered feeling a little mean that he was going to come back out here and get her. She figured that he'd go home, which was an hours drive from here to Huntley, then come back out and get her before driving back to Huntley. That would be 3 hours travelling for him, 4 considering he was already in New York which meant that he would have driven the hour long journey. "You sure you wanna pick me up? I mean thats a lot of driving going back and forth between Huntley & New York" She asked. She liked the fact that he offered but she felt that he would be going out of his way for her.

Yea, Vince frequented most of the clubs he knew. Though there were a few exceptions because of other reasons, he just hadn't gone to Coyote Ugly all that much, though he did go there. Usually other places caught his eye first, it did tend to wander quite a bit. Besides someone like Bobby he definitely would have remembered the face and possibly the name, though he tended to focus on a couple of girls a night or something he usually picked up one. But that wasn't the focus of this particular conversation anyway.
Sure he lived a bit far from his particular location, but he moved around a lot and crashed at his friends places all the time, it seemed as though his apartment back home was lonely half the time unless he'd gone to a club nearby and decided to survive the hangover in the morning. Vince had a lot of freedom, he wasn't in school, it really wasn't his thing and not that he would have gone to class anyway. People said education led to a road to success but so far he was making it great with his own little business going on around here. And only certain education in experience was needed.
"I don't mind. Unless you mind. He said, it really wasn't a problem. Just because he was a druggie and mild alcoholic didn't mean he could be nice, right? Besides something told him it'd be worth it, or he could just go to his buddies place nearby where he had some of his stuff parked in there. Sometimes he wondered just how much of his things were scattered around here and there.
