Did she mind? Like really, did she mind really? Usually the answer would be yes because she never liked to put people out of their ways, but Vince. She felt like it was alright. Really alright. He didn't seem like everyone else that offered to pick her up for a date even though they lived around an hour away. "No I don't mind" She said smiling a very sweet smile. She was glad she agreed to him picking her up. Now she didn't have to worry about how to get there since her car was buggered.
She turned back around to the front, a goofy grin on her face as she continued down Times Square. It felt like Times Square was going on for ages but it also felt as if time hadn't passed at all. She couldn't recall the last time she felt this 'giddy' and she knew where it came from. It came from the knowledge that she would be going on a date with a hot guy that didn't seem anything like the rest she had dated. He had a fairly good vibe from the others, well not exactly good but it was different, different to all the rest. All of them had turned out to be assholes so this 'different' feeling that she was experiencing was being welcomed with open arms.
"So 8 tonight?" She asked looking up at him as her step gained a little 'pep', but not enough to make her look like a tool. That might make him regret asking her out, something she definitely didn't want to happen. She was really excited about what would happen, well not like she knew but still. She knew it was going to be a good night.

For once Vince didn't mind making an extra trip for this, sure he was going out of his way a bit but he really didn't mind. Something about her just made it acceptable in his mind to do this happily. Besides it was almost rare for Vince to pick up a date, unless it was a relationship of course or he felt like getting on their good side and later in their pants. He smiled back, as long as they both accepted it then it would be done happily. Besides he didn't take a long time to get ready usually, that would be up to her.
They kept on walking a small pause consuming them, the place seemed bigger and took longer walking, unless they had gone around again and again, then it would explain it but he wasn't paying attention. His attention at the moment was pretty much focused on this girl he met, with blond hair and pretty eyes and awesome looks, who happened to be walking with him in the Square after quite litterally bumping into each other. Normally Vince would feel indifferent about picking a girl up, but this one stuck in his mind right at the front of everything else.
"Yea." He replied to her question. Eight o' clock, wasn't that far away but it was at the same time. He wanted good things to happen tonight, well besides the main thing he was looking for, but more than that was acceptable at this point. But then again his mind could have been clouded by infatuation to this girl, she had this thing that reeled him in and he stuck, by free will.

Holding back her excitement so she didn't look like a freak, Bobby searched through her mind for something to talk about. Afterall she didn't want him to leave just yet. The only thing she could think of was her Banjo, Yosemite, but she was afraid that talking about that might definitely scare him off. But then again if he didn't like Banjo's the Bobby didn't want him.
"He-" Bobby was cut off by the sound of her ringtone, You Got It (The Right Stuff) by New Kids on the Block. She wasn't ashamed of being a fan of theirs. Infact she liked people to know. "Awesome ringtone don't ya think" Bobby smirked as she pulled her phone out of her pocket.
Putting the phone to her ear, her face dropped. It was the hospital, something about her needing to get down there right away because her boss, Lil, was involved in a car accident and was in surgery. Her phone dropped out of her hand and smashed into pieces as it collided with the concrete. The sound of the two meeting snapped Bobby back to reality and she looked down at her now broken phone, unfazed and knowing that a broken phone was the least of her worries.
She looked up at Vince, hoping he wouldn't be pissed that she had to leave so suddenly. "I gotta go. My bos-" She cut herself off this time, she was used to calling Lil her boss instead of friend but at this moment in time she was her friend. "My friend," She corrected herself, "Is in the hospital. She was in a car accident and she put me down as next of kin." She couldn't believe what she was saying. She had always thought of Lil as unstoppable, invincible, like nothing could harm her. Now this.
"I'm sorry. I really gotta go" She looked down the road, spotting a taxi before waving it to stop. "We're still on for the date tonight. Here's my address" She quickly pulled a pen out of her pocket and found a reciept in her other pocket, which she then wrote her address on the back of before handing it to Vince. "I'm sure she's fine. So i'll see you at 8" She waved as she got into the taxi and it drove off in the direction of the hospital. Fear running through her entire body. She didn't think she was alright. If she was the Lil would have told them not to bother calling her. Hell Lil wouldn't even be in the hospital, let alone surgery if she was alright. Tears started to form in her eyes but she quickly wiped them away, trying to reassure herself that there was nothing wrong. Nothing at all.
[[she's at the hospital in another thread and since this ones practically finished i figured i'd give her a reason to leave. hope you don't mind]]
