Dean was in his room laying on his bed thinking of what he could do. He didn’t have work today because his boss let him have the day off because he had been working so hard the last few days. But now Dean was sitting there with nothing to do but stare at his wall, and think how small his room was. Gosh did he really need to find a new job because he sure did have a small apartment. Maybe he will think about that later. Letting out a sigh Dean sat up and ran his hands through his hair looking at the clock reading that it was only noon. Now what was he going to do with the rest of his day. Maybe he should go to see a movie but he didn’t want to go alone. What was a movie if you went by yourself. It wouldn’t be as much fun if he didn’t go with another person.
Deciding that he really did need to get out of the house he walked over to his bed stand picking up his phone and looking through the address book stopping on his friend Anna name. He wonder how she was doing. They hadn’t really talk much, she was always so busy with school work. He didn’t blame her, Dean heard that Rutherford was a very hard University but he knew that she could probably make it. She was a really smart girl, not that he hadn’t met a smart girl before but she was that cute smart. Pressing her name he decided to see if she was up for an outing with him. He really couldn’t think of any one else to take with him. Hearing the dial tone he hope that she would answer the phone, or that she wasn’t in class.

Anna Sophia was sitting in her dorm reviewing for an English exam when the sound of The Academy Is sounded at the windowsill. With a look of perplexion, the teenager slid off her bed and walked lightly across the floor to pick up her cell phone. The screen read 'Dean Andrews', painting an even more confused expression on her face.
Flipping the top open, she put the phone to her ear and made her way back to her bed. "Hello?" she answered, laying down and resting her head on the bright blue pillow at the top of her bed. She pulled her knees up enough to avoid disrupting her book and listened to the man on the other end of the phone.
She did not know Dean too well, but they had gotten along pretty well when they first met a few months ago - back when Anna was new to the city. They had exchanged numbers, and with a friendly smile departed ways. Although she had only spoken with him once or twice since, the teenager found him funny and likeable. In a way, he reminded her of her twin, which was enough reason for her to smile when she heard his voice on the opposite line.
Catch a movie? Anna Sophia ran her tongue over the back of her teeth thoughtfully, pale blue eyes flickering to the book at her feet. The test was on Monday, and considering that she had the entire weekend to study, going out should not be a problem. She cheerfully told Dean she would meet him in forty-five minutes and closed her phone.
Sitting up on her bed, she smiled giddily and hopped down to the floor, barely catching her balance when her socks hit the slick ground beneath. With a small giggle, Anna Sophia set the phone on the bed and walked over to her closet, surveying her prospects. One hand on her hip and the other pushing multiple hangers aside, she picked up a pastel blue sweater and jean jacket. Switching from lounge pants to blue jeans, she applied a quick, light brush of make-up and headed for the door.
Getting downtown was still a bit nerve-wracking for the Southern-bred girl. She hesitated twice getting on the train, not entirely convinced it would get her where she was headed. The past few times she had gone into the city, she had a friend by her side that knew which train to board. Now that she was alone, she felt uncertain of her decisions. With help from a friendly stranger clad in formal business attire, Anna took the third train.
Religiously watching the map in her hand and the flashing signs zooming by out the window, Anna Sophia eagerly awaited her stop. The last thing she wanted was to get off on the wrong station. A tiny flutter of fear graced her stomach at the very thought. Luckily, she managed to climb off the train successfully. Having gotten off at the same stop a few times before, she felt a familiar confidence return as she made her way through a crowd in the direction of the cinema.

Finally hearing her answering the phone a smile swipe across his face. He was almost thinking that she wasn’t going to answer the phone or that she was busy. But she wasn’t or maybe she was just taking a break and didn’t have that much time to talk but he pushed those thought out of his head when he heard her sweet soft tone. He answer her back and was kind of happy to have someone to talk to.
Going through it in his head he remember how he met her, they meet somewhere in town and he had saw her walking around with a lost look on her face. She looked so beautiful so he couldn’t stop himself from helping her. They talk a bit that day and exchange numbers because they both had to continue on with their days. He did like her that first day so he didn’t know why he didn’t call her back after the first time he met her. She would probably think he was a stalker or something. Yet know he found himself wanting to get to know her better and what other way to do that then a movie.
He asked her if she wanted to catch a movie. Well Dean didn’t really get out much during the day to see one so he was sure it would be a nice idea to do that. Hearing her silence he knew that she would probably say that she was busy or something so he didn’t get his hopes up so high. When he heard her say that she would come he found himself getting happy. She told him that she would met him in forty five minutes and Dean looked at his watch and told her that he would meet her there. Closing the phone he walked over to his closet picking out a shirt and a pair of pants and laying in on his bed.
He walked over to his bathroom and took a shower and did his hair. Well more like put some gel in it and ran his fingers through it. Putting on his clothes he checked himself out in the mirror and decided that he was decent enough to leave the house. Grabbing his bike keys and his phone he headed out the door and made his way to his bike driving his way downtown. It was always an hectic getting down there so he went the alternate way so that he wouldn’t get caught in traffic. That is one thing he wouldn’t like at all.
Driving up to the theatre he parked in the parking lot and turn the engine off. He walked to the front and waited for her to come. He hope that she didn’t get lost because he would feel bad about that. It would be his fault because he asked her to come. Running his fingers through his hair he got a bit nervous and hope that she was alright.

The typical teenage girl traveling alone in the city might have gotten wary, dodging businessmen on a mad dash to the office or primadonnas forcing their way against the grain. Anna was not nervous, not in the slighest, but did have many near-collisions with the pushier members of the crowd. The expression on her face was one of complete concentration. She moved lightly on her feet, jumping left and right to avoid being hit. She was not brave enough to become pushy, nor was she rude enough.
Just as she approached the theatre, Anna Sophia leaned her head to the side, thinking she had spotted Dean. Her eyebrows rose when she realized it was, in fact, him. Unfortunately while her eyes were on the man standing outside the cinema, she failed to see the man who had stopped just in front of her. With a yelp of surprise, she ran straight into his back, making him spill part of his coffee on the ground.
Anna's eyebrows shot up, her eyes widening and sudden look of fright on her small face. "I'm so sorry," she said quickly, cringing as the man glared at her and spit a string full of curses. Not wanting to appear equally rude, she stood in embarassment for a few seconds until the man's cell phone rang and he stomped off.
With flushed cheeks, Anna Sophia made her way through the rest of the crowd and up to Dean. She looked up at him, embarassment still painted across her cheeks and eyes, and laughed a little uncomfortably. "Hi," she greeted, turning her head in the direction of the stranger and then back to Dean.

Dean put his hands in his pockets and lean against the wall that was behind him. Looking as people passed by hoping that one of them would be Anna. He remember how she look, she was one of the most beautiful girls that he ever met and he wouldn’t forget a face like hers. She had this sweet and innocent look about her. Dean never really meant a girl like her, not that the girls that he met were bad. It was more that they were not like her. There was no really way to explain it but he knew that she was different.
His thoughts were then stirred when he looked up and saw her looking over towards him and then her running into a man. He seem to be pretty much upset but he didn’t see what the problem was. It was just an accident and this made him sometimes hate New York people. They could be so mean sometimes, and he really wanted to punch the bloke face in but he walked away.
Watching her walk in his direction he stood up from the wall and smiled in her direction. She look so nice and the outfit that she work and her hair looked great. Looking at her cheeks he could tell that she was probably embarrassed about before but that look did make her look cuter than she was. “Hey” he said to her greeting. Thinking about the events earlier he wanted to make sure she was alright “are you alright. I mean with the man. Some people can be so rude don’t you think” he said in a sincere voice.
No he wasn’t the person to say much but he knew how to be a gentleman above all else. His mother taught him at least that. Waiting on her answer, he just had a smile on his face. He wanted to know if she was alright before they discuss which movie they were going to see.

The blush still hung carefully on her cheeks when she stood in front of Dean. She sighed a little and took a deep breath when he questioned her. He sounded genuinely sincere, making her look up at him a little hopefully to see if it was true. The smile on his face matched the tone of his voice, making her smile and nod. "It was my fault," she said a little timidly, raising a shoulder in a mild half-shrug. "I should have watched where I was going, that's all."
Looking up at the older man, Anna Sophia noticed that he was, in fact, rather handsome. She hadn't quite acknowledged his last time, having been lost and confused. Her concern had been primarily on pointing herself in the right direction rather than admiring a stranger. Her memory of his appearance had apparently faded, because now she found her cheeks were still a little rosy when she smiled up at him.
"I'm sorry I'm late, I wasn't sure which train to take from Huntley. Your city's transportation is so confusing!" she exclaimed, lifting her hands a little to illustrate her words. "All of these trains making all of these stops and going back and forth and every which way." She shook her head and then giggled a little, forgeting about her embarassment as she chattered amiably. "I had to get help," she said bashfully. "But I'm here now, so hello!" With that, she stood in silence, dropping her hands to her side and wondering if she was making a fool of herself.

Waiting on her to answer his question he looked at her, and she look at him. His blue eyes peering into her seeing her smile and then he return her the same smile. “Good because I though I would have to kick someone behind. And even it was your fault he shouldn’t have yell at you like that. It was obvious that it was not on purpose.” Dean said getting a bit ferocious at the guy but then calm down. “some people can be rude as I said before” he said letting out a small laugh.
“that is okay. I wasn’t waiting long” he said knowing that he had just got there maybe a few minutes before she arrived. Traffic was so bad especially since it was a Friday and everyone was probably heading to New Jersey. No one would work in New York really stay there, it was so expensive to do that. New Jersey didn’t have that the high prices for living so that is why many people live there. The only problem is that New Jersey didn’t have any decent jobs. But in this world compromise was always good.
“I know that is why I never really take the train. I rode my bike there. After maybe I can give you a ride on it.” he said with a smirk wondering if she would say no or yes. Many girls that he knew have said no because the thought of being on a bike scared them. He wondered if she would be the same or maybe different. “I don’t blame you and your here now so that is all that matters right.” he said grinning at her. “so umm I don’t even know what is out, what is it that you want to see” he asked her thinking to himself that he really needed to get out more. Well get out more meaning not just to the club.

Anna smiled through her teeth, biting her lower lip and taking on a bit of a quizzical look as Dean growled about the older man she had run into. He laughed a little bit once he was done, and Anna grinned along with him, feeling her shoulders relax and the blush begin to fade. It surprised her that he seemed to get so worked up about the man, but he was probably that way with everyone. She shifted her weight as she stood, the heeled sandals on her feet making her feel the urge to move around if she couldn't sit.
The mention of a bike made Anna giggle, at first thinking he was joking. When she realized he wasn't, her face instantly sombered up and she closed her lips, realizing that was probably normal for people in New York. You didn't find too many people riding bikes in Tennessee, that was for sure. They either drove their own cars or took the bus. Very few even owned bikes.
"To the station?" she asked, wondering if that is what he meant. He couldn't possibly mean Huntley. Assuming so, she smiled and nodded. "I'd be honored," she said in a happy tone, a grin spreading across her face. She had never ridden a bike before, and though it seemed a bit daunting, the adventure side was much more intriguing.
At the mention of what to see, Anna pursed her lips and strode closer to the front doors. She cupped her hands around the side of her eyes, peering in and looking at the titles on the screen. It was a rare occasion when she decided to go watch a movie, so when she read the titles and didn't recognize any of them, she let out a thoughtful 'hm'.
Turning around to face him again, she spread her hands and shrugged, though the small smile still played on the corners of her lips. "I don't know any of them either," she confessed. Glancing back once more as her mind ticked in thought, she said, "How about we pick whichever one starts first and make it a surprise?" Her blue eyes danced at the idea, the same playful and innocent grin on her small face.

Like I say Dean can be a rude person but he was a good friend when he wanted to be. I guess today was one of Deans good day, but he would do it any day because that was the guy he was. Many people wouldn’t know that because he tends to show his other side more often then his good side. Running his fingers through his hair he was happy that she was okay though, he couldn’t get how New York people could be so weird. He was happy that he was from Georgia. Everyone there was so nice and they didn’t yell at you for bumping into them.
Seeing her expression he could assume that she didn’t like the idea of riding on his bike with him. But then her expression change and he didn’t know what to think of what she was thinking. Sometimes girls can be so difficult that is all he knew at that moment. Looking at her for her answer still he wonder if she was going to say yes.
Then he heard her question and he wasn’t really planning on dropping her off there so that she could get lost again and not be able to find her way home. It wasn’t safe out for her to be out like that. With all the rape that have been happening he didn’t want that to happen to her. “Umm I was going to drop you off at your house. I don’t think you live that far away from me.” he said thinking that even if it was far he would still take her there.
Watching her walk closer to the door he stay where he was. He really didn’t care what movie it was. As long as it wasn’t a chick flick then he was fine with it. Dean didn’t like those kinds of movies. They were just to sappy for him and he couldn’t take that. Letting out a sigh at her answer he walked over towards her “Well I guess that will get us no where” he said with a short laugh.
Looking through the window he didn’t really know what any of the movies were about so he had no clue. Making a mental note to stay on top of what movies were coming out he turn to her and shrugged his shoulders “so what should we do now” he said to her but then she interrupted him with her solution. “it is better than what I had so lets do that” he said wanting to be surprise about now.

Anna's eyes widened in surprise when he said that he didn't live too far from the campus. That was a surprise -- she thought he lived in New York, but perhaps she was wrong. It had just been an assumption, so it was quite possible she had been mistaken. "You're so sweet," she complimented with a grin. "Thanks. I live on campus, so if you just drop me at the entrance I can walk to the dorm. It isn't far." She smiled up at him, thrilled that she wouldn't have to take the train again. It saved her from getting lost again, and it would save her a few extra coins.
The thought of being surprised, even if it was just at the cinema, escalated Anna's mood. With a prance in her step, she stepped closer to the glass once more and pondered. "Just not anything that sounds too scary," she said in a serious tone, her brows furrowed. Horror movies frightened her, often leaving her to spend the majority of the movie with her hands over her eyes.
Scanning her eyes across the titles, she paused at the third one on the list. Supressing a laugh, she turned around to face Dean, putting on her best seductive expression. Lowering her chin and batting her eyelashes, she repeated the title in a silky tone, "Scandalous." With a giggle, she broke her character and turned back around, continuing to read.
"The Perfect Sin? Secrets In Mirrors?" She paused, chewing her lower lip thoughtfully. Picking a film at random was clearly more difficult than she thought. Vaguely remembering her companion worked as a mechanic, she looked at the small displays to see if any remotely appeared to be about cars or racing. The last one on the list looked as though it might have something to do with driving... almost like another The Fast & The Furious. "How about that one?" she asked, pointing at the display sign.

“Oh really I am not” he said with a laugh. Sometimes he could be but he was no saint and nor did he try to make himself ever appear as if he was one. Looking at her he shook his head “sure I can do that, if that is what you want” he wasn’t going to argue with her on the fact that is wasn’t safe for her to be alone when sick people lurked after innocent people. She was tough so maybe she could take care of herself. Plus it wasn’t as if it was far away. Having an apartment was in Huntley was much cheaper than having on in New York, but it was always a long travel trying to get to work each day.
Hearing her say no horror movies he respected her wish. He did of course request no chick flicks so he hope that she really did pick one. He couldn’t be ask to be in a room filled with crying woman. It would be too much for him to handle. Walking besides her he looked at the list and waited for her to pick something out for the list which wasn’t many because of the names you could obviously tell that it was a chick flick or a horror film.
Looking at her when she laugh he wondered what it was for then he heard Anna said some that sound like a total chick flick and Dean face had to turn a light pink “umm are you serious” he said hoping that she wasn’t. He didn’t get how females could watch something like that but that was them right. Letting out a laugh he focus on the titles again.
Hearing the choose he started to think that the movie idea was a bad idea. When did directors start doing really crappy movies he thought. He remember when the movies were great and had a meaning but now that was gone. Looking at her she look so cute when she was thinking and he didn’t know why he was thinking that. Hearing her voice it sound like she finally found a movie and he looked at it and smiled “that looks great.” he said to her “okay I guess it is the best that we can get so lets go see.” he said reaching for her hand and walking her towards the ticket booth.

She frowned at him when he said he was not sweet. Clearly he was being sweet now, making his statement false. She smiled at him playfully beneath narrow eyes. "I beg to differ," she said, a hint of finality in her tone. Her blue eyes watched him for an additional second, making sure he heard her before she turned attention elsewhere.
Anna didn't even bother to answer when he asked if she was serious. She was not one for sappy films, even if they did have a grand storyline. Being raised away from any physical relation did not make her an aspiring romantic, and it was clear in her choice of films. Romance movies normally didn't catch her attention for very long. She enjoyed action films, thanks to her brothers, and liked the occasional mystery.
When he agreed with her and took her hand, Anna shot him a sideways glance of surprise. Her palm was tiny enveloped in his, his hands rough in contrast to hers. It was clear that he worked with his hands, while Anna most definitely did not. She did not watch him very long, choosing to look forward at the ticket booth, nibbling on her lower lip. Was this a date? She had never been on an official one - not one that didn't include multiple couples, that is. Butterflies began to flutter in her stomach, but she forced them down when she swallowed and followed Dean towards the ticket booth.
Slipping her purse down her shoulder, Anna used her free hand to pull out her wallet. She never carried too much cash around, just enough to get by with the occasional extra dollar for using a phone booth if her cell phone died. She held the wallet close to her stomach as they waited behind two people in line, who were apparently taking their time paying for their tickets. As they waited, Anna began to hum quietly to herself, her blue eyes tracing just behind Dean to the children playing across the street.
