Teddy had finally found a job. He'd went to the hospital to see if there was anything simple, and required no experience in the actual medical stuff. You know, like paperwork or something of that sort. Since there wasn't really, he decided to see what was open here at Coyote Ugly. The first time he'd been here, he'd met Liz. He wasn't positive if she still worked here, but it didn't matter. He'd glanced around a little, and decided he liked the overall vibe; if, that is, you did get a vibe from a bar that didn't include drinking and partying. Anyways, so he'd come in search of a job. It was obvious that the only bartenders were the 'Coyotes'. You'd have to be blind to not see that. But it turned out there were positions available. Now he had a job, and he'd have to thank Bobby Ryan for that. He was thankful that his employer was one of his good friends. Teddy could relax a little, and not be so fidgety and nervous. And Bobby wasn't the kind of person that would hire somebody just because she was friends with them. So it seemed like a rather large bonus for him. Teddy had put an up on his working out though, just in case things got rough in the bar. The requirements had said that bouncers should be able to throw a punch. He thought that he would be able to, but just to be sure. As of this moment, he'd just left his apartment. He was wearing a white wifebeater, black jeans and a white wristband around his lower arm. He'd spiked up his hair; something he'd been getting better at since the day in the coffee shop with Anna. It seemed to him that he was seeing a lot of Anna these days. First at the coffee shop; which he'd initiated. And again at the park, when it was raining. Well, that day at the park had really changed a lot of things with just one person. Teddy was officially taken off the market. He wasn't single anymore, and he had a feeling that this would be different than his first girlfriend, Julie. Anna was pretty much the opposite of Julie. Soon enough, he was standing in front of Coyote Ugly once more. Just like the first night he'd been here, he stood looking up at the sign. Teddy had just parked his car, and now he was ready to go inside. There was nothing really to be nervous about. Or so he thought, really. If he didn't do a good job, then he would probably get fired. That would leave him out a job, and probably awkwardness between him and Bobby. Neither of which he wanted, really. Nobody was around from what he could see, but he guessed that Bobby and maybe some other Coyotes were somewhere. He sat himself in one of the chairs, and began to drum his fingers on the table. The bar wasn't open yet, but it was only about twenty minutes before it would be. Teddy wasn't looking forward to this job, really. It was a lot of sitting at the door, looking at every single person who entered. And, of course, the occasional breaking-up-a-fight, but he didn't know how often that happened here. ooc; This is for the pay && because I'm bored. So... yeah. Nobody needs to necessarily join; but you can if you want! : )

After many nights of finding a house and moving in, and getting a job and all that fancy stuff; it wore Joshua out. Well, at least he was bored and needed some type of fun. With that thought in mind, he decided to go out and party some. Whether he was going to meet up with somebody or not, that really was the question. He decided to just fly by the seat of his pants, and go to a random bar of his choosing. Whatever happened, happened. No matter what though, this time he was going to drink. So he'd dressed himself in something rather simple; a red t-shirt and black jeans. Nothing extremely fancy, but not raggedy either. Joshua had arrived at Coyote Ugly not twenty minutes ago, and it was rather packed tonight. It seemed that it was wall-to-wall people. He was making his rounds, trying to find somebody he knew. Well, no such luck. At least, from what he could tell. He'd pushed his way into the bar, and leaned over it to order a drink. Once he'd recieved what he wanted; which was a bottle of beer, he turned and leaned against the wooden bar. Joshua hadn't actually been to Coyote Ugly yet, but he'd heard things and read things about it. Girls danced on the bar, and guys oogled them to their heart's content. Throw a little alcohol in there, and you have Coyote Ugly. You also have trouble, in Joshua's opinion. But he decided to come out and try it once. Besides, they had bouncers. So it was all pretty safe; in case hell did break loose.

Lexi hadn't actually been in Coyote Ugly very much, it was mostly about the guys watching the 'coyotes' do their thing on the bar. But sometimes she wanted something different, a change of pace, and she had also heard that Teddy was going to be working there, maybe she would run into him. Walking into the bar, wearing a light blue patterned tunic top, dark blue skinny jeans with thin heeled boots underneath, and a studded bracelet on one wrist, she slowly pushes her way through the crowd. The bar was crowed, but no dancing girls yet, and she wondered why Liz had decided to work here. Sometimes she didn't understand Liz's reasons for doing things, but Lexi would normally just shrug it off.
Pushing her way through one group of people, Lexi stumbles a little, and tries to get her balance back. She ends up bumping into a guy with her hands up, trying to not bump heads with him. "Sorry! I'm not drunk, I swear! At least, not yet." Smiling slightly, she looks up at the guy's deep green eyes, and blinks, surprised that she knew him. She couldn't believe that she had run into him here, of all places. "Josh! I'm so sorry, I didn't know it was you! How are ya?" Leaning forward, and raising up on her toes, she gives him a huge hug, just very happy to see one of her close guy friends at a place like this. And maybe she would have someone to hang out with, while she got used to the place all over again. At least she hoped so, and she could also look for Teddy, just to wish him well on his first day.

As Joshua leaned against the bar, he examined the crowd from where he was at. He hoped that somebody he knew would drag themselves out today, so that he wouldn't just sit here getting drunk by himself. If there was one thing he hated the most, it was getting drunk by himself. The only people that do that, are people who don't have any friends in the first place. He gave a light sigh, as he took a sip and set the beer on the bar. He didn't take his hand off of it though. He was always scared of those disgusting date rape drugs, and such like that.
He was about to lift the cool bottle to his lips again, before somebody came from nowhere and collided. He didn't bother looking right away, he just stood up from the stool; bringing his beer with him. He didn't like sitting for the reason that just occured. From that height, he focused in on the person that had bumped into him. Joshua immediately recognized the rather tiny girl, and his lips curved into a smile. "Not drunk, yet?" he asked, putting emphasis on the last word. "Hey, Alexia. I'm good, and you?" he added, embracing her briefly with one arm; to return her hug.
Joshua always used the real names of people, as opposed to nicknames. He didn't really like his nickname, Josh, of which so many people called him. It didn't bother him enough to correct them, but he still didn't like it. So he often called everyone by their true blue birth name. That way, they can't really get mad at him.

Happy to have received a hug from him, Lexi takes a half step back, putting her hand on her hip. With a light laugh, she looks up at Josh, and emphatically disagrees with him. "No! I just got here, haven't had a chance to order yet. And I'm great, Josh, it's been a while since I was in here. So, how many have you had, so far?" Playfully winking at him, she glances around the crowded bar, and then at the mass of people pushing up against the wooden rail around it. She really wanted something to drink, but how to get an order in?
Turning back to her taller male friend, and looking at him with sparkling brown eyes, she reaches into her pocket, pulling out some money. "Hey, can you get someone's attention, and get me a wine cooler? Any flavor is fine. I'm soooo thirsty." Grinning, with a white smile, Lexi hands him a couple of dollars, wanting to pay her way. And it seemed that Josh was in a decent mood, maybe he was looking for someone to hang out with also. She wouldn't mind at all, she enjoyed talking to him, and sometimes even flirting with him a little. It was all for having a little fun, and sometimes to get him to laugh, like she would always want to get other people to laugh. He didn't seem to mind it, at least most of the time, and Lexi was glad that he was such a cool guy to be with in situations like this.

Joshua took a rather large sip of his beer, as he glanced around absentmindedly around the bar. "This is my first one. I just got here." he replied, as he glanced down at the female standing in front of him. "But I just kind of forced my way in.. that's kind of what you have to do in places like this." he added, as a smile spread across his face. If someone else were to know the situation, they'd probably think it was a little weird. I mean, somebody hanging out with their sister's friend. Or, someone hanging out with their friend's brother. But Joshua had never really been awkward around Lexi at all. She just had an overall good vibe about her, since day 1. Even now, he thinks of her as another little sister; even if it's not technical, biological, or any of that junk.
He took another sip of his beer, before feeling money getting pressed into his hand. "Okay. I usually need to get a flavor before I do this sort of thing. But for you, I'll do it." he replied. "One second." He turned and forced his way back into the crowd around the bar, and leaned over it once more. "Excuse me," he called politely, to the nearest bartender. "One second, sweetie," She replied back, as she filled someone else's order. Not so long after, she came to Joshua's call. Yeah, he had a talent about ordering at a crowded bar. Was that a good thing? "Wine cooler please, dollface." "Oh yeah? What kind?" Joshua knew this question was coming up. "What do you recommend?"
Soon enough, he was back in front of Lexi with wine cooler in hand. "And here you go. Bartender's choice of flavor." he said, as he held it out to her. Joshua gave her another smile, before glancing down at himself. In his eyes, he didn't look all that great. In fact, he looked pretty downright ugly. Why? Who knew. All he knew is that he was positive he wasn't attractive. From the bright blue eyes all the way down to his feet. Accept his hair. His hair was pretty sweet. Again, only in his opinion.

Wow. Teddy never would've guessed how boring this job could be. It was pretty much just taking his seat near the door, and asking people for ID. That is, only if they looked underage. And then there was the problem of guessing if they were real or not. Some fake IDs out there were pretty foolproof. Teddy had just seen Lexi pass through the door, but she hadn't noticed her. There wasn't really a point to chase after her just to say hi too, so he stayed where he was. "ID, please." he said, to a rather young-looking male who was trying to get passed. But, nonetheless, he confidently pulled out an ID. Teddy studied it for a brief moment, before nodding and passing it back over.
Now it was back to sitting. Followed by sitting. Add a little sitting in there, and it just makes Teddy's day. But oh well, he needed some money. Especially for rent, since he couldn't make Evelyn pay for all of it. So now he had a job, he would have to suck it up a bit. At least until he could get a better job somewhere else. Right now he was at the end of his chain, and had to take the first job he could get. Maybe the perks would get better too, as he worked here more and more often. Who knew, really?

Lexi was a little glad that it was Josh's first beer, she didn't want to show up after he had already consumed two or three, it would have been so unfair. She would have teased him about something, and he wouldn't have stood a chance. Nodding slightly, looking around the bar, she doesn't see Teddy anywhere, and she wondered if she had gotten her nights mixed up. "Yeah, I know, I forced my way over to you, didn't I? And almost ended up on my butt, that's what I get for wearing heels."
Smiling at him, her dark eyes crinkling from his mildly sarcastic reply, Lexi watches Josh make his way over to the bar, and get a female's attention. Why wouldn't he, he was really cute, even if she only thought of him as another brother. She tries to see over the crowd who was working behind the bar, and she could see a couple of people. But it was hard to see in a couple of spots, and she really wanted to find Teddy, if he was there. She can't make the people out, so she starts to stand on her toes. When that doesn't work, she jumps slightly, trying to see if she actually could see him. She ignored Josh a little, as he negotiated with the bartender.
Turning to Josh when he was standing next to her again, she smiles up at him, and takes the bottle from his outstretched hand. "Why, thank ya, kind sir, ah'm shore the bartendah has made an excellent choice." Giggling a little at her exaggerated Southern accent, her dark eyes dancing with amusement, she takes a sip from the bottle in her small hand. She really loved the stuff, most of the time, and you could always find a bottle of it near her when she was in these kind of situations. Mildly curious, she asks, "So, you live in the city now, right, Josh? How is that working out for you? And you're working at a hospital?" Simple questions, but she was trying to find out if anything had changed in his life, since she had seen him last. And she was still looking around for Teddy, she wondered if he was working in the back tonight.

Joshua raised one eyebrow, before smirking lightly. "Are you making fun of my southern accent?" he asked, playfully. It was true, he still had that southern accent. It hasn't been that long sense he moved out to New York. Besides, he'd lived there for so long. He guessed it would never fade. At least, he hoped it wouldn't. He liked his southern 'drawl', as some people would like to call it. Gave him an air of where he was from. He never wanted to lose sight of that.
"Yeah, New York. The great city of pollution and under-the-table dealings." he replied, again; joking. New York City did have a little bit of that going on. But it honestly wasn't that bad. "And yeah. Well, no. Kind of. I already applied, I'm just waiting for that phone call. Let me know if I'm in or not." With that, he took another sip. Oh, how good beer could taste. It was odd really, but oh well.
Joshua noticed that the girl had already started loosening up. He hadn't consumed enough alcohol yet to be loose and wiry. But he'd get there. He'd probably end up asking Alexia to dance, and then probably finding some random strange girls to dance with. Just have fun tonight. All it's been in New York up until tonight had been worrying about a house and a job. But tonight would be filled with a lot of fun, alcohol, and dancing. "Are you looking for someone?" he asked curiously. She had a little bit of that vibe, as if she was waiting for someone or something like that. Was he just filling time for her as she waited for someone in particular? He hoped not.

Adopting a look of pure innocence, Lexi points at herself, her brows arching dramatically. "Who, meh? Oh nevah, sugah, Ah would nevah do that to ya. Actually, Ah'm very jealous, Ah think Ah want that schmexy accent all to mahself!" She actually was a little jealous, since she grew up in the South, but had almost no accent. She was having fun teasing Josh about it, it was the same way she would tease Anna at times.
Sipping at her wine cooler, she laughs, his jokes about New York were very stereotypical. But she could appreciate how he felt, she had been that new to the area, and had made some of the same jokes. "Oh, you'll come to love the place, Josh, even with it's faults. There are some places with so much character, you'll just want to go find some more. And it's cool, I know a couple of people that work over there, I'll introduce you, if you want. I hope you get the job, it's a wonderful hospital. It's where I went when I hurt my wrist, riding on the subway." Shaking her head, causing her dark hair to slide off of her shoulders, she's not sure she should share that story with him. He might tease her about it, and she would have to hurt him. She didn't want Anna to get angry with her.
As she took another look around, she turns back to Josh, a thoughtful look about her. "Um, well, a friend of mine started working here, and I was wondering if he was here tonight. It's cool, though, if he is, we can still hang out. I was just tired of the usual places, and needed to be someplace different." And this was as different as she could get, without trying to find some redneck bar. But that wasn't her style, and she was perfectly happy to be here, with Josh, and just talk about anything that came along.

Teddy slumped down in his stool, already bored of this whole situation. Being a bouncer wasn't as cool as it looked. "ID, miss," he said, holding his hand out to stop one of the girls. The minute she turned to look at him, she looked exactly like a deer caught in headlights. "Uhh...yeah. Of course.." Was her reply. Hardly believeable, but he could have fun with this. "Umm, now please." The girl started rummaging in her purse, before pulling the old 'I-left-it-in-my-other-purse' trick. Teddy had been told to watch out for these. "Well, I'm sorry miss. But you can't come in tonight then. But you can go and get this ID and come back, if you like." he said, and smiled.
The girl's friends immediately tried to help her. "I'm sorry, ladies. I can't let her in." he explained calmly. "But why don't I go ahead and check all of your IDs?" They all had them. Teddy himself hadn't been in a situation like that before. But he sure had heard about them. After a few moments of her friends saying things like 'I'm sorry!' and 'We'll find you later,' they parted ways. It was a good thing this female didn't try to get in anyways, because he hated having to use force with a member of the opposite sex. No matter how small amount of force, it just didn't feel quite right.
He slumped in his chair again, and stared longingly at the partiers. Boy, what he'd give to be one of them. Or at least be allowed to have a drink. But Teddy couldn't be intoxicated while he was working. It'd be a little stupid, if you think about it. Just drunk out of your head and letting any underage people in and out of the bar. That would get him fired, and he didn't need it. Even having one beer on the job would probably get him fired.

Joshua couldn't help but roll his eyes a little. He even smirked and chuckled ever so slightly. He didn't have a lot of humor for things like that, but he had to admit; this time it was rather funny. "Mhm. Well, don't be goin off trashin yo own race, dawg. Or somebody be bustin a cap in yo ass." Yeah, Joshua Bennett just spoke gangster. And it didn't sound as bad as most would think. But he'd picked up enough during his stay in New York. He could fit in with the gangsters if he truly wanted, but he didn't, naturally. He went back to his own, natural accent and added, "Oh yeah. I just spoke the gangster speak. Beat that, darlin."
He glanced around absentmindedly, not really looking for anyone anymore. He didn't have a lot of friends in the Huntley and New York region yet. Pretty much only his sister and the girl standing in front of him. 'Note to self: get social life.' he thought, as he took another sip from the bottle. "Yeah, I know. From what I've seen so far it's not as bad as all the stereotypes. But it's true, it is rather polluted. And not only the air." he replied lightly, with a smile.
Joshua ran a hand through his hair casually, as he took yet another sip. He was well on his way to the loosey-goosey, ready-to-dance stage. Wouldn't be long before he'd be off to the dance floor. "Ah. Well, if he's working he can't really hang out, can he?" he asked curiously, but then shrugged. "Do you know what he works as?"
