Brandon was not in a good mood. His sister was taking every last ounce of patients that he had. And that was saying a lot. Brandon had a lot of energy. He has a lot of patients. And he was just not the type that would easily get depressed. But he ddin’t know what had gotten over him lately. He was pretty sure it was his depressed sister. She was living with him for a bit, and he was sleeping on the couch, and always worried sick a bout her. His stress level was so high, it was affecting his ability to do anything. His boss was starting to get sick of him acting the way he is. But it wasn’t his fault. He just couldn’t keep up with life and work. He’d learn to deal though. He always learned to adjust himself to things. And that was what he was doing now. Pretending to be feeling good when it was obvious that he wasn’t.
Brandon let out a sigh, his next order was simple. An Ice vodka. He went to the back, and grabbed out the vodka, and other things that he would need. He began stirring up all the goodness, before pouring it out onto a glass. Finishing it off with an olive, and a cherry. The customer had wanted both inside their drink. It was kind’ve odd to have both, but it was never good to question a customer. He looked at the drink. It didn’t look appetising. And he knew why. Because of being so depressed all the time, he had messed up on the drink, and added orange juice instead of a hint of lemon juice. What a disaster. He’d drink that afterwards, as he went back and started from scratch. He hated making mistakes. With drinks, you could never just go one step back.
He stirred up the drink, making sure to be careful, and trying not to think about his sister. He let out a sigh. His sister. It was pissing him off. He looked at the drink this time, and saw that it looked nice. He walked over, and placed it down on the table top. ”Enjoy” He said as he got some other orders, taking a sip of the drink in between. His shift would be over in a couple minutes, and he couldn’t wait to get off. Making all these mistakes were making him just even more depressed, and angrier. He just wanted a friend there to talk to. The D.J. started playing up “We fly high”, mixed in with the song by Justin Timberlake. Brandon liked the beat, and began bopping his heads, as he had drinks flying all over the place. He wondered if he’d see a friend after his shift was over. Maybe get to talk to them a bit. He sure as hell wasn’t going straight home after this. He would drink a bit, dance a bit, and just enjoy the night since he was starting to feel just a tad bit better.
