It had been three days since Riley founded out that his girlfriend Hope had been doing drugs, bad drugs, and now she was dead. They found her in her dorm room slumped over the bed with a needle stuck in her arm, and when Riley found out it was like his whole world was crashing down before him. Thoughts were running through his head, what if it was him that cause her to do the drugs. Why didn’t he see signs she was his girlfriend after all. Now he couldn’t help but blame himself for everything that was going on. He love her and that he had to admit or he thought he did. Riley never had feelings for any one before so it must have been love.
But after he fought out he had been in a slump, for the first day he was crying his eyes out. No he isn’t gay but he was actually crying because she was more than just his girlfriend she was his friend. Not as much as a friend as he was with Evelyn but they had a friendship. Then second day he didn’t even attempt to go to class at all. Riley was too depress to think about classes or dancing. All of that just made him think of her and he just didn’t want to think at all. Riley was happy on the third day he friend Eve called him. Knowing her she was probably worry about him, hearing the story going around the school of what happen to Hope and she told him something that kind of cheer him up, and how he should go out with her to the club and forget.
Riley knew that deep down inside that she was right, he didn’t need to let this dwell in him. It wasn’t as if he could turn back time and make things alright again. Accepting her invitation he stood up and smelled himself almost choking back on his own odor. He seriously needed a shower so he headed towards the bathroom of his apartment knocking on the door so that he could make sure that Marta wasn’t in there before he open it . Last time he forgot and he walked in on her using the toilet, so now it was a habit to knock each and every time he went to the bathroom.
After a few minutes he came back out smiling fresh and nice. His hair sprawled all over his head and feeling a bit better than he was a few seconds before. Riley walked in his room an quickly got changed into a pair of blue jeans and a button down top. He ran his hands through his hair with a small amount of gel and let it dry on it on. Grabbing his jacket he walked to the door and walked down to the parking to get in his car to drive to the bar. Maybe Eve would be there already. He really need her now more than ever. She always seem to be there for him, and he had to admit he really did need her now. Driving off he wipe his mind clean, tonight he was going to have some fun with his friend and not think about anything else.

Evelyn had been doing her usual things. Skipping classes, sleeping with guys, getting wasted and then starting it all over again. She'd been in a feud with Teddy for calling her a whore and hadn't been at her apartment much. The one day she did go to school she heard of the tragic story that happened to Hope, Riley's girlfriend. The instant she found out she called him and persuaded him to go out with her tonight and she promised she wouldn't go and do something incredibly stupid - at least not with him there. She'd managed to get in to her apartment for two hours to grab some things and take a quick shower. The girl had been living in her car for the past two weeks. Taking showers and mooching off of friends for things while she went and partied it up each night to take her mind off of god knows whatever she was thinking of. She'd just got out of the shower and had worked on to straightening her blond locks of hair and making herself look pretty. So what if it was just her best friend - she was so worried about her image all the time that she had to look her best no matter what. Plus if she came ugly that may just upset the boy even more. She went to her closet in search of something to wear as she pulled out a pair of jeans and a black strapless shirt that clung tight to her torso and somewhat invisible boobs. A small necklace hung around her neck as she grabbed a pair of black flats and threw them on her feet and ran out of her apartment before Teddy came home and she had to get in to some kind of fight with him - especially if he knew she was going to go see Riley. Teddy and Riley seemed to have something between them though they had to act alright with each other because of Evelyn being both of their best friends. She ran down to her car as she started it up but of course there had to be something wrong with it and it wouldn't start. "Stupid fucking car." she shrieked as she kicked the tire which didn't seem to help her situation at all. Getting a bit annoyed with trying to fix her car she called a cab to come get her and was off to the club. She was unsure of what she could really do to help Riley get out of his slum but she would do anything for the boy - he was her best friend and meant the world to her. She soon arrived at Deep where she'd arranged to meet him. She knew she was going to be late and he would probably think she was an idiot for coming so late or have already left because he had grown tired with her. She pushed her way through the crowds of people as the beat of the music seemed to be affecting her brain. She looked around frantically as she finally spotted Riley over at the bar as she took a seat next to him. "God I'm sorry for being such an idiot and arriving so late.." she said and shook her head knowing he'd want to know why she was so late. She knew he needed her and he needed tonight and she didn't want to ruin it by being late of all things.

Driving up to the club, he stop in front parking his car in the parking lot but not really exiting the car. Throwing his head back into the headrest of the car, he didn’t know if he could do this. Having fun was the last thing on his mind and even though he kept telling himself that he should. It was all his fault that Hope died, and he didn’t stop her. It felt like he was going to cry again. Riley hating cry because it show just how weak he was, and he hated that he was weak. His father told him that man don’t cry then why did it fell so good to do it. All he wanted to do at that moment was stick his key back into the ignition and drive off, he wasn’t in the mood anymore. Yet he couldn’t do that to Eve, she was so happy that he was coming and he wasn’t going to stand her up. What kind of a friend would that make him.
Letting out a sigh he made himself get out of the car, slamming the door behind him and walking slowly towards the front entrance. He of course remember to bring his fake id being that he wasn’t old enough to get in the club or drink without it. Riley already knew that Eve was going to be late, probably getting herself all doll up. Riley tried to tell her plenty of times that she was fine, and a beautiful girl, but his words must have not meant a thing. He wasn’t mad at her though, all females has something that they didn’t like about themselves and not being dress nicely was Eve’s. Riley had to admit he had one himself and that was probably the same thing as Eve’s was. He didn’t like not looking nice so of course he was dress very sharp and everything.
Making his way through the line and into the bar he walked over to the bar and sat down on one of the stools turning to the bar tender and ordering a whiskey. Not a glass, a whole bottle. He was planning on getting wasted tonight, at then he know that he could feel something other than what he was feeling now. He feel like he was never going to be happy again, well not until his friend came but until then he wouldn’t be happy. Spotting her walking his direction a small smile came on his face. Riley was so happy to see her and she looked so beautiful in her outfit that she was wearing. Hearing her say sorry he didn’t know why, he didn’t really care as long as she was there now.
“Don’t be sorry, I wasn’t here that long either” he said with a small fake laugh. Riley wasn’t really in a mood for laughing. That is when he felt the bartender tap his shoulder and turn around grabbing his bottle of whiskey and a shot glass pouring some in it and asking for another shot glass . Riley turn around with his shot glass in his hand and took it. “You want what I am having” he asked before he slung his contents down his throat. “You know I am happy I am here, so I won’t have to think about her anymore” he said pouring himself another drink but handing the shot glass to her.

She heard his fake laughter and she knew right then he was still very upset. She looked at him and shook her head as she took the shot from her hand and set it down on the bar momentarily as she wrapped her arms around him tightly and kissed his cheek. "Riley please don't be sad. I know that's a lot to ask but please try and make the most of tonight." she whispered before letting her arms uncoil from his body as she took a seat next to him at the bar as she grabbed the shot glass and slung her head back as she let the liquid trickle down her throat. She knew she was going to get wasted with him and they'd just have a good night getting drunk together - or at least that's what she thought. Evelyn knew Riley better then she knew herself sometimes and she knew as much as he might want to be happy - he truly wasn't right now. She grabbed his bottle of whiskey and poured some in to his shot glass as she held it out for him. "Cheer up Babe." she said as she shot him one of her pearly white smiles. She glanced around the bar noticing some familiar faces - some she'd even slept with but had also regretted. "You've got to be happy with me here." she said and let out a soft laugh as she smiled over at him. She hated to see him this way but she knew that if she gave in and became sad it wouldn't make things any better. He'd always been there for her and now it was her turn to be there for him. She knew tonight would be filled with laughs and tears and who knows what else but she'd do anything to make him feel better and she truly meant anything. She pulled down her black strapless top so that it wasn't showing her stomach as she smiled over at him. "You've got to make the most of tonight. I'm going to make you smile and you know." she said and laughed as she gave him one more quick hug as she smiled up at him. "..and you don't have to stop thinking about her to be happy. You loved her and don't think it's your fault this happened." she said with a nod remembering that smile on his face that happened each time Hope's name was even mentioned. Now it seemed to be the opposite. Every time she was even mentioned now it seemed a frown appeared on his face. He needed someone to make him smile and Evelyn was ready to step up to plate she wanted to make him smile and become that happy person he once was. She knew he had stopped going to school and stopped dancing which just a week before he'd been bragging about how well he was doing and how much loved it. She knew that he had to get out of this slum quickly and become the cheery happy dancing Riley she knew and loved. She took a sip of the shot as she held it out for him. The girl loved liquor. She could very well drink that whole bottle of whiskey by herself and be able to hold it all in. The girl had become accustomed to taking in large amounts of alcohol and had also grown used to boys feeling all up on her tiny body. She regretted partying as much as she had because lately she'd been losing herself to it and losing her friends as well.

Ending his laughing he looked over at her and he knew that she knew that he wasn’t really happy. Eve was his best friend and to him it was like she knew him better than he knew himself sometimes. But she couldn’t know how it felt to have your heart feel like it was tugged out and stump on. To hate someone for dying and then blame oneself for the cause. Riley was so much into his own thoughts that he didn’t feel when she wrapped her arms around him giving him a hug until she placed a kiss on his cheek. Riley snapped out of his reality and heard her say that he should make the most of the night and he just gently squeeze her back feeling a little bit better “I will try” was all he could promise her, he couldn’t guarantee more than that because he practically was going to have to try with all his will to not be so sad.
Feeling her arms leave him he gave her a smile, it was friends like her that kept him going on. Right now she was here with him trying help him through something that he never imagine that he would be going through. But one thing Riley knew and that that was he was going to move on soon or later so he might as well try now. Looking over at her he noticed her handing him a shoot of whiskey and he gladly took it, knocking the contents down his throat without even thinking. Usually he wasn’t like this, he would never drink as much as he is or will be drinking tonight but this Riley was different. This Riley didn’t care, this Riley just wanted to make the pain go away and somehow the drinks were doing that for him. Licking his bottom lip he sighed.
“Fine I will, and your right. No more thinking about the bad. Just drinking, laughing and talking” Riley said with turning around and pouring himself another shot. That is why he chose those things because you can keep on drinking and drinking and then pretty soon you forgot how many drink that you drank. Riley didn’t really know which number he was on but he grabbed the bottle and pour some more into his shot glass. “I think we will be doing the drinking part more than the other” he said laughing before he practically inhale the drink down his throat. The taste staying behind in his mouth and just having him want more.
Holding the empty glass and his hand he was about to reach for the bottle again but on his way to the bottle he noticed the smile she gave him and he couldn’t help but really smile back. Riley had to admit that getting out of the apartment did help him. He was driving himself insane, isolating himself from others and letting these thoughts dwindle in his head. Now that he was out, he couldn’t really think about the things that were bother him. Well he was still thinking about them but not as much as he did before. “Well I been smiling so far. See” he said giving him another one of his smiles right before she hug him again.
She didn’t realize how much those hugs meant to him. It made him feel comfort and that he had someone that really cared. Riley called his family and of course they didn’t care but Eve she did. She was like family to him now and he was so happy he ever met her. “I did love her a lot Eve but I don’t know. It is like you said a few days ago it just seems like bad things happen to me. I know I am acting like a spoil child but I can’t help but miss her.” he said letting go some of his of his emotions. “I am just wondering if I will ever find love like that again.” he said placing his glass on the bar table and pushing his hair back in confusion of all his feelings.
Looking over at her again, she was holding out around glass for him and any other time he would have said he had enough but he grabbed the glass and took that downing it like he did the other. This boy was in for a bad day tom morrow. Luckily it was the weekend but still then he needed to catch up on his work that he missed and pratice some of his dance routine before the weekend ended.

She smiled as he said he'd try. She knew coping with Hope's death certainly wasn't going to be easy and she could certainly relate. "That's all I wanted to hear." she said and smiled at him once more. She was glad to have Riley as her best friend, he was always there for her and she planned to always be there for him and if anything was to come between them well she didn't know what she'd do. She couldn't even think of being without her best friend. Sure she had Teddy but they were in a dispute right now and she just couldn't deal with anymore drama in her life. She would just drink away the drama and let guys fuck the shit out of her so her pain went away. The girl was turning in to a monster but she wasn't going to admit it. Not to herself, not to anyone. Evelyn would continue to run away from her problems until something big happened say she got pregnant from one of these guys that she slept with? What would happen then? She'd have no where to go and no clue as to what to do with herself. She knew Riley wasn't one to drink but tonight he seemed like he needed it. She'd been in his position many times before. She'd locked herself away from the world for days at a time and she'd come here to drink away her pain and drink away any emotion left in her body. She didn't want to feel anymore. She would kiss those lips that tasted of morphine just to forget everything and everyone that had ever hurt her before. "Good, that's what I want to hear. I want to see happy Riley not sad Riley." she said with a small laugh. She watched as he practically inhaled his shot and she grabbed the bottle from him and poured a shot for herself and took it in as she handed him the shot glass once more. "Cheers to that!" she said towards his remark about drinking - she knew they'd both be drunk off their ass by the time they left this place and who knows what they would be getting themselves in to. She was unsure of what tonight would end in but she hoped it would be nothing but happiness for Riley - she just wanted to see him smile again. She got her wish and saw his white smile as she grinned. "That's my Riley." she said with a small laugh as she kissed his cheek gently once more. "I've missed that smiling boy. He seemed to have gone in to hiding but it don't matter 'cause he's back now." she said and smiled as she glanced around the crowded club. She took in a deep breathe as they hugged and for that second everything seemed to be perfectly fine and everything just seemed to be going alright for once - lately everything had gone wrong for the both of them. Evelyn was turning in to a monster and the love of Riley's life had an overdose and killed herself. Riley was Evelyn's family because her own family was too worried about everything else in the world besides their life. Her mother wanted her to be a model and to be the smart pretty girl but Evelyn refused thus causing her to try and rebel and turning in to the monster she'd become just to prove her mother wrong when the only thing she'd managed to do was hurt herself and everyone around her. Her father had stopped caring and had moved on with a new family - a new family that didn't involve Evelyn, the disgrace. She let out a soft sigh as she heard him say that. "I will always love you Riley. Forever." she whispered as she hugged him tightly. This time was different she wasn't going to let go and just shrug it off. She wanted him to know that she really did love him no matter what happened between them she always would love him. She took the shot glass back from him and filled it up as she took the liquor in and let out a sigh of happiness as she leaned against Riley. Everything seemed perfect and she didn't have a worry in the world - not yet.

With every drink that he took his worries seem to fade away. Nothing matter anymore, not his friends, not his problems, not school. Nothing at all, and he was left with this numb feeling inside. He knew as soon as the alcohol he would be back to the same old him. Bottling all of his feelings inside until it eat and consumed him turning his soul as dark as the midnight sky. Riley couldn't let himself turn into that, so tonight he was going to let go, he didn't know how he was going to do that. Maybe talk to Evelyn about it, or maybe just drink and drink and try his best to have fun to realized that life does go on. Even without Hope he had to continue to live on. Hearing Eve voice he turned and gave her a smiled that meant more than what it showed.
He was so graceful for her, if she hadn't got him out of his apartment who knows what could have happen. Maybe he would have drove himself insane with the thoughts that it was all his fault and kill himself. Right now she was all he had, his family well she was his family and Eve care more about him then his father ever did. Riley was surprise that he didn't disown him for wanting to be a dancer instead of a lawyer. But besides that he was touched that Eve was there for him when he needed her more than anything. "I would try anything for you, you know that right" Riley said to her pushing his hands through his hair once more. It was starting to fall in his face and he knew that he should have gotten a hair cut but he really didn't care at that moment in time.
Now that his hair wasn't all over his face he felt a little bit better, plus he could see better now as well. He had just finish another glass of that liquor and she hand him another one and he turn and gave her a small smirk. "Happy Riley yep, maybe he will stay around for a while. I like being happy you know, being sad makes me feel all hollow inside. But you know what I never realize about drinking, it makes all those feelings go away" he said taking a small sip of his drink. Right about now the alcohol in that glass and Eve was the best friends in the world to him. "Maybe I should drink more often." he said in a rhetorical form. It wasn't a real question just a thought that he just randomly put out there.
His mother never hug him or him dad. They didn't even have dinners together, he family wasn't the typical happy family. It was more about money to them, so Riley didn't have much love when he was growing up. Being around her almost made him truly feel what love was and being with Hope made him feel an entire different love. It wasn't for them he would probably be a cold heartless jerk like his father that only cared about money and status but no he wanted to be different then his parents. Riley wanted to be better than they were.
After saying what he say he started to think, and think hard. Maybe he was over-exaggerating. He was still young and he didn't even know if what he and Hope had would really last. Trying to get her off his mind he let his blue eyes glanced over at the second most important person and his life and heard her as she told him she would always love him. It always made him cry but he didn't cry because that would ruin the moment "You know I will always love you too plus more" he said receiving yet another hug from her in one night. Gosh he was lucky. Grabbing the drink from her he tool another sip and just stared at her with his amazing blue eyes in her light blue eyes and he couldn't picture how the night could get any better than it was.

"Yes, I know you'd try anything for me. I'd do the same for you." she said and smiled - she could tell he was already a bit tipsy. The boy wasn't used to drinking so much like Eve was. She knew he was liking the numbing feeling he was receiving. She'd relied on that many nights just to get her through the hell she had to go through each day. Everyone expected something from the girl and she truly hated it. She didn't want anyone looking down on her each day telling her to do this and that she simply wanted to live her own life by herself. Not having anyone to look over her and correct all her mistakes. She was a big girl now - or so she thought. The boy truly was her family because she had no one else. She had a mother who couldn't care less and a father who had forgotten about her. Her life back in California was nonexistant. She hated to face that fact but it was all too true. She wasn't exactly sure if bringing Riley here was the right decision. She didn't want him to fall back on alcohol like she had. His life was going great and he shouldn't let it all slide just like she had. It was a huge mistake. As she hugged him she let her eyes close and she just took in a deep breathe. She hoped to find someone like Riley. Someone who was loving, caring, sweet, cute, and funny. Someone that wouldn't judge her, someone that would always be there for her, someone exactly like him. Before she really knew him she had a slight crush on him but then they became best friends and it seemed like everything changed. She took the shot glass from him and poured herself another shot as she gulped it down and leaned against him. "I'm glad I'll always have you." she whispered as she let her eyes close once more just getting lost in the moment. (How touching? LMAO.) She wasn't sure what was going to happen between the two tonight there was no telling. i suck! sorry :[

Feeling her body on his, the warm that the alcohol and her body was bringing to him. He was starting to feel really loopy in the head. He never drank so much in his entire life, so this was the first time he ever did this. For some reason his throat was extremely dry, he didn’t know why but it was. Hearing her voice he smiled “good and dont you ever forgot that missy and I won’t either” Riley said keeping his eyes on her the entire time. Man she was a beautiful girl to look at, he never really noticed that before or maybe he never really looked at that way before. Now he definitely knew it was about time for him to stop drinking when he started having thoughts like that.
Now he definitely knew it was about time for him to stop drinking when he started having thoughts like that. She was his friend, and of course when he first meet her he thought she was drop-dead gorgeous. Not that he still doesn’t think she is. In fact he thinks many people underestimate her, and he has this feeling that most of the guys that she meet only want one thing. Well Riley he was different, in fact beyond many people knowing Riley has never ever been with a girl like that. It was something that he didn’t like to tell people but he was in fact a virgin.
Sighing he decided that thinking was too much for his brain at his moment. Thinking was actually causing his head to hurt so he rather just keep drinking which was making his head feel better, well at that moment. But Riley he heard stories about how you get this big headache the morning after and wake up not remember what you did the night before. Riley hope that nothing bad happen the rest of the night because then he would wake up the night morning not knowing a thing but be expected to know what he did. It all seem so strange to him but he will just have to see.
Hearing her next words he smiled, it was true. It would always be truth “ Yesss indeed. I think I never had as much time with anyone else then what I have with you” he said feeling her breath gently blow on his neck. He could particularly feel the hairs on his neck stand up. It might have been from drinking but it just so happen when she whispered in his eye. Closing his eyes he could feel his heart racing like a hundred miles a hour threatening to pop out of his chest. He open them up and just smiled reaching over and grabbing the bottle and pouring himself some more to drink.
-omg this sucks worse so please don't even say your sucks because it was better than mines.

"Trust me I won't." she whispered as she kissed his cheek once more. She wasn't sure what was going on with her but she just couldn't keep her hands off the boy and now everything was getting all too confusing. She wasn't sure if it was the alcohol or her feelings were getting the best of her but she was noticing how cute Riley was along with all his other great features. She smiled as she let her head rest against his chest and she looked out at the crowd of people bumping against each other and she just let her eyes close. She didn't want to think about any of them anymore. She just wanted it to be Riley and Evelyn and no one else. "D-Do you wanna go?" she asked him as she looked up hopefully. She didn't want to be stuck in this crowd of people any longer. She knew if they had more alcohol now there was no way the two of them would make it back to Riley's apartment seeing as how Evelyn's apartment, well you can't really call it hers anymore. The loud music was beginning to give the small girl a headache as she lifted her head from his chest and closed her eyes as her finger brushed back her hair from her face a she smiled up at Riley and she stroked his cheek with her fingertip. He was so handsome and for some reason she'd never really looked at him in that way. She wasn't sure if it was the alcohol or if she was just feeling a little loopy as to why she was thinking of Riley in that way. He was her BEST FRIEND for gods sakes. What the hell was she doing? She jerked her hand away from his cheek and sat up as she looked around the club. She tried restraining her actions but nothing seemed to work at all. She slowly got up and off of her bar stool as she looked back at Riley. She truly wanted to leave the place - she'd grown tired of it already. "C'mon Riley let's go back to your place." she said as she leaned in and kissed his nose lightly. "Pleasee?" she begged with a small and innocent smile as she grabbed both of his hands and laced their fingers together happily. no i claim the crown of suckyness. totallyyyy

Drinking the last bit from the glass he heard her asked him if he wanted to leave and it sounded like she really wanted to leave so if she did then he didn’t mind it at all. Riley knew that if he stayed any longer he would end up drinking more and there would be no way he would be able to get himself or her home. Sitting his glass on the bar he stood up bracing one of his hand on the bar and letting out a small laugh when she begin to beg, “sure lets get out of here” Riley feeling her hand in his now intertwining his fingers in her, noticing really for the first time how much smaller she was then him. It was weird how girls were so much smaller than males were but Riley didn’t mind.
Making there way through the crowd, Riley was surprised that he could even manage to walked, and that he wasn’t stumbling around like his head was chopped off. Maybe it was that he had Eve on his side and he was using her for a little support, but every though that he was having clearing shot out of his head as soon as he exited the door and felt the fresh air entered his clouded lungs. Riley didn’t realized that he and her had been in the club that long but the cool breeze from the air causes a chill down his spine or maybe it was because she was stilling holding onto her hand.
Wondering quickly how she got to the club he clear his throat and looked over in her with his blue eyes “so did you bring your car or will we be taking mines, I parked over there” he said taking his free hand and pointing in some direction. To think about it he really didn’t know where his car was at that moment and he didn’t wait for her to repsonse before he pulled her close releasing her hand and placing his arm around her shoulder pulling her closer in. “let just go we will come back if you did bring your car, I just want to get out of here” Riley confessed as he walked up across the street in the direction of his car.
[pffft this is what you call sucky. Sorry]

"Are you sure you should drive?" she asked as she looked up at him curiously. She normally wouldn't drive when she left a club she was always afraid of getting in a wreck because she wasn't the best driver sober much less drunk. She leaned against his shoulder as she leaned up in kissed his cheek gently. "..I missed you Riley. Don't disappear on me again okay?" she asked as she leaned against him and listened to their steady footsteps against the sidewalk. She heard the sound of tires slowly coming to a stop as they crossed the street. "I swear people don't know how to stop.." she said as she leaned against them and they walked on to the sidewalk again. She let out a sigh of relief that they had finally got out of the club. They'd been there for awhile and her head was starting to throb from all the music. The two of them were leaning against each other and they seemed to be able to stand up straight or at least walk. She was so comfortable just laying there against him. She didn't understand why they never really liked each other in that way but she didn't mind it. She loved Riley almost like a brother but now that she had alcohol in her body she was beginning to see things differently. She heard his soft breathing and his heartbeat as she looked up at him and smiled. "You're so cute Riley." she whispered in to his ear before kissing his cheek once more. It was true, Evelyn was a very touchy person - you'd hardly ever see her not kissing or touching someone. She loved giving hugs, one day she just wanted to hug everyone she saw but of course that idea was automatically turned down. She heard people talking and the cars stopping and everything seemed to be so calm that she was drifting off a bit and getting lost in her thoughts. She'd of course be pulled right back out of them as soon as she hears Riley speak. His voice was so familiar and comforting that she could just fall asleep listening to him talk. He had that effect on her - making her feel so comfortable around him. That's really why the two were such great friends.
