Mylee Hunter sauntered casually up to the door of her cousin Oralee's apartment. Today, she wore black skinny jeans and a loose golden top that hung off her shoulders. On her feet, she wore a pair of black flats. Her hair was just left as it normally was, her golden tresses resting on her shoulders and framing her face.
Adjusting her top slightly, Mylee prepared herself. The problem was that she didn't know how her cousin was going to react to her being her. They weren't particularly close to each other at but then they hardly saw each other. Feeling slightly nervous, she rapped the door with her knuckles, very lightly. What if she doesn't want me here? she fretted to herself. If she didn't, wear would she go?

Oralee was relaxing on her couch and working on her photography assignments on her laptop, she didn't have any classes today, so she'd taken the lazy approach and was still wearing her pyjamas. Oralee loved her pyjamas, they were comfortable and warm. They consisted of a huge t-shirt that was five sizes to big for her and so came down to mid-thigh and often slipped of her skinny shoulders. Beneath that she wore a pair of baggy shorts. She finished editing her last photograph and stretched her arms out. She then got up and padded across the wooden floor in her slipper-boots to the kitchen. There she turned her kettle on and leaned on the counter to wait for it to boil.
When it had boiled, Oralee mixed herself a mug of hot chocolate, planning on a relaxing, cosy day at home. She crossed the short distance back to her couch and placed her mug on the coffee table. Saving all of her work on her laptop, she closed the lid and put it back on her desk by the window. Then, she settle back down on her couch, snuggling into the many cushions.
Hearing a knock on her door, Oralee dragged herself to her feet and slowly walked around to the door. Expecting a salesperson, Oralee yanked the door open. And got the biggest surprise of her life.
"Mylee!!"

"Oralee!!" Mylee cried enthusiastically offering her arms to her cousin.
"It's so great to see you, I mean so much happened back home since you left!! Roxy got a boyfriend! And Freya is so annoyed about it!" she exclaimed, attempting to keep her cousins mind off her sudden appearance. With a sigh, Mylee realized that the best thing to do was be honest.
"Oralee, I'm miserable. I've messed my life up and now I want to sort it out. I'm 22 and I'm single, and I don't have a job. My life is a huge wreck because I threw away school. But here..." she gestured out of the window.
"Here I have so many new opportunities, even if I don't go to the college I can find a job or something. Please don't let me miss out. Please let me stay," Mylee pleaded. She looked sadly at her cousin through her chocolate brown eyes.
"Please?"

Mentally pinching herself, Oralee hugged her cousin. Yes, she was really there.
She played with the drawstring of her baggy shorts, gazing down at the floor. This was awkward. As the volley of words flowed from Mylee's mouth, she glanced up on utmost surprise at what she was saying. My sister has a boyfriend! she thought to herself. Of course Freya won't be happy, they've shared everyting...but they can't share this. Her sister Freya was most definitely the jealous.
Suddenly, the mood changed as Mylee's confession of sadness gushed from her mouth. She nodded though, knowing exactly what her cousin was talking about.
"It's OK Mylee, I understand. You can stay here, of course. I know we've never been close...but I'd like to be," Oralee said quietly, feeling awkward. She held her arms out for another hug as if to seal the deal.
"Hug?"
