It was nearing one in the afternoon and Dylan slowly rose his tired ass out of bed. Yawning, he grabbed a white wife beater off the floor near his bed and pulled on over his head, covering his once bare chest. He made his way from the bedroom of his apartment, out into the main area, crossing the small living room to his makeshift kitchen. Starting the coffee maker, his stomach ached for something other then hot liquid and he opened cupboard after cupboard finding that they were either empty or full of shit he did not want to eat. ”Damnit,” the mild curse slipped from his lips as he gave up his hunt and propped open the laptop that was lying unattended on the counter. Technology had never been a strong point of Dylan’s and he was almost embarrassed to admit that it had taken him a long time to master the whole internet thing. Upon grasping the skills he realized that it really was not that hard. Sitting down on one of the stools, his head checking back to coffee maker every other second to see if it was done yet, he signed on to MSN. Usually he only ever got around to doing this late at night, but this morning, er… afternoon, he had nothing planned and figured some innocent IM’s would do no harm.

His screen name was the title of a song by one of his favourite artists, City and Colour, or Dallas Green and he opened up his iTunes, choosing it off his extensive playlist. Allowing the music to fill up his tiny apartment, immeadiately bringing a smile to his face.

It was in the late afternoon and Tiger just finish cleaning her room. Even though it was clean already she couldn’t help but not think that somehow germs found it way into her room. That is why she had to clean it head from toe. Now she was tired and hungry. She went to her kitchen making herself a sandwich and some juice walking over to her computer hoping to looked for another job as a full time tattoo artist. Right now she had to stick with her job at the sports clubs as a bartender and even thought the pay was good she just didn’t want to do it. It was her dream to design tattoos and she was going to do that it just was going to have to take some time. Logging onto her computer she watched as the it booted itself on signing into her msn automatically telling her within the screen that she had ten new emails.

Smiling as her mind got easily distracted from her main goal. Shit she though to herself. Maybe if she sat there a bit longer it would come back to her. Looking at her list she noticed something flash on her screen and she wondered who could it be. It was funny how Tiger just allow people on her list without even knowing them.

A quizzical look came over the tired boys face as he tried to put a face to the screen name that had popped up with a message. It always amused him how random people seemed to find their way onto his buddy list. Hunching over the computer, his eye still on the coffee maker as it slowly filled up, Dylan moved his fingers over the keyboard to type his response.
saveyourscissors: haha. sure, only if you let me ask the same question?
saveyourscissors: i’m Dylan… Dylan McLaughlin
He pressed the send button, figuring the person on the other end was some old friend he had forgotten he had on there or some random person he had barely met and exchanged screen names with. Either way, he was hardly concerned with their relation for now. No, now all he wanted was for the coffee to stop taking it’s sweet time.
