It had been a week since Lexi had been in the place, and she had found that she didn't miss it. Finals were such a stressful time, and now that they were over, she needed some much deserved stress relief. But finals hadn't been her only source of nightmare inducing internal strife, and she wondered if coming to the loud and crowded club was such a good idea. Sitting next to the bar, dressed in low rise stretch jeans, a dark blue tunic style top, and black stiletto sandals on her feet, she sips on a wine cooler, and watches the busy crowd on the dance floor. She wasn't her normal social self on this warm night inside of the club, and that bothered her a little. Maybe it was too soon, after... She drove the thought out of her mind, she wasn't going to let her thoughts linger on what had happened. She just wanted to relax, have a little fun, and not get too out of control.
She had seen a few people that she knew, a casual wave, a quick word, and they had always moved on. A couple of offers to dance, each one politely turned down, as she gave herself some time to warm up to the bustling atmosphere of the club. It had never been this way before, for her, but she was different. In a way, it felt like everything was different. And she was just going to have to get used to it, ease back into things slowly. Sighing, as she sipped on the cool bottle in her hand, she wonders if she would see anyone else there that she knew, and maybe they could talk for more than a minute or two. It might be wishful thinking, and she was regretting not asking someone else to come with her, like a friend, or anyone, for that matter. Even a nice looking stranger would be good at this point, she thought, as she watches the dance floor, and the people moving in time to music.

And there he was, downtown, out drinking yet another night of the week. At least finals were over, so its not like he didn't have more time to burn then usual. Maybe that's why he had been out for the last three nights in a row but, given that fact, Tom still managed to look casual, yet classy. Dressed in dark designer jeans, black and white Lakai skate shoes, a Slayer shirt. With a jug of Alize and Red Bull in his hand and his white Hurley hat just slightly slanted on his head, It was quite apparent that Tom was quite on his way. Not completely off his face now, but definitely having himself quite a good time. Alize was after all the necture of the gods.
He had been invited out with one of his clients after delivering a half-O, but had long ago lost his wingman, so he was on his own. Luckily though, as he skimmed through the crowd, looking for a familar face or a good looking girl, he found a combination of the two. Tom had used all his infinite wisdom to tutor Alexia in Math and right now, she looked like she needed some cheering up. He approached Lexi at the bar, obviously she hadn't seen him yet and before saying anything else he offered, " Can I buy you a drink?" It looked like the girl needed a lot more help than a wine cooler could offer.

At the sound of the male voice behind her, speaking the classic of pickup lines, Lexi cringes, as she wonders what she was going to say to the guy. Could she just ignore him, and he would go away? Not very likely, and it wouldn't be very nice of her to do something like that. No sense in punishing someone for her not so great mood. Turning slowly in the guy's direction, thinking of some polite way to say 'no, thanks', she sees the white hat, and then recognizes Tom. A couple of wide-eyed blinks, and she stands up, a growing smile on her face. "Tom! Oh my god, hey! How are you?"
Placing a small hand on his muscular arm, Lexi was glad that it was someone she knew. She hadn't seen Tom in a while, but she really hadn't seen many people since before finals. It would be good to catch up with him, and it would give her something to do for a little while. There was an empty seat, and she waves him over it, as she sits back down in hers. Looking at him with a slight hint of amusement in her dark brown eyes, she sips at her wine cooler, and smiles warmly at him. "You don't have to buy me a drink, Tom, not until I finish this one at least. And hey, I like the hat, it looks good on you."

"Tom! Oh my god, hey! How are you?"
Tom was quick to notice the delay in her reaction to his offer for a drink, but he thought little of it. The bar was crowded and loud, with people everywhere and as soon as Lexi did acknowledge him, it was obvious that she was in fact glad to see him and for that, he was pleased. He stood beside her for a brief moment, answering her question with an obvious statement. Sipping on his pink and amber coloured beverage, "I'm good. I'm a little on the drunk side of things, but I'm good. "You thought I was some big creep that was just ready to slip you a rufi-calada, didn't you?"" he grinned, taking another sip as he sat in one of the vacant spots beside Lexi.
"You don't have to buy me a drink, Tom, not until I finish this one at least. And hey, I like the hat, it looks good on you."
He shrugged once seated, when his offer to get her another drink was declined. . . for now. He's was pretty sure she'd chance her mind later, when that cooler was done anyway. He sat his drink down on the bar, mixing it up with the straw before taking another large sip. When Lexi commented on his beloved hat, he automatically went to adjust it, make sure it was sitting how he liked it on head. Given the drinking, the hat had started to looked a little intoxicated as well, sitting a little too far back on his head and looking sort of foolish. Tom was quick to fix it, pulled the hat securely over his skull and then slightly turning it to the side. "Thanks" he liked the hat to, there was just something classy about white hats. "Its supposed to be keeping my sense in" as finally finished adjusting the hat how he liked it. "Apparently, my hat is a little drunk too" He joked, having no problem poking a little fun at himself.
Taking another sip of his drink, it was now half full and Tom made a note that soon he would have to get a refill. Maybe if he waited a bit to order, Lexi would be ready for another round too.

Watching Tom take the seat next to hers, Lexi noticed the drink in his hand, and the many colors in it. And when he began to speak, it was obvious that he had been drinking for a while. But he seemed really mellow, not one of those angry kind of drunks you ran into every once in a while. Laughing lightly at his comment, she nods, briefly looking at the ceiling with her dark eyes. "Not like that has happened to me before, but yeah, I thought you were just another guy trying to get me drunk. And it sounds like you've been enjoying yourself. What is that you're drinking? It looks interesting." She might be curious enough to try a sip of it, but she wasn't going to order one for herself. She didn't want to end up letting herself go again, once was too many times.
As he adjusted the hat, and he obviously had some trouble with it, Lexi chuckled some, it was fun to talk to Tom when he was like this. Maybe it was a good thing that she saw him here at the club, and could take some time to talk with him. Sipping on her wine cooler, she reaches out, and adjusts the hat on Tom's head, and grins at him while she does it. "You been slipping your hat something on the side? Let's hope it doesn't spring a leak, and let all of your sense out. Then we might be in big time trouble." Leaning on the bar with one elbow, her hand supporting her chin, she looked at Tom, and sipped a little more on her wine cooler. It was almost done, and she would have to decide if she wanted another one, or something else. Or maybe... "Hey, can I taste your drink? It looks so interesting, I want to know what it tastes like."

"Not like that has happened to me before, but yeah, I thought you were just another guy trying to get me drunk. And it sounds like you've been enjoying yourself. What is that you're drinking? It looks interesting."
Mildly grinning as he paced himself, nursing his drink to moderate his already intoxicated state. Tom was glad she seemed to enjoy his joke and then she wanted to know what he was drinking, he grinned a little wider. "I am enjoying myself, I haven't been out to the bars since before finals.", taking another sip of his delicious cocktail. "Its four shots of Alize Red and I dunno... probably like half a Red Bull". Taking yet another sip, so much for pacing himself, it was just such a good drink. The Red Bull and Alize complimented each other nicely and although you could definitely taste a hint of that energy drink taste, but the Alize was sweet with an overbearing berry taste. "Its a good drink, its a nice happy drunk" Tom described truthfully, it was definitely more of a girly drink. "Without getting to that stumbling, stupid, drunken state".
"You been slipping your hat something on the side? Let's hope it doesn't spring a leak, and let all of your sense out. Then we might be in big time trouble." "Hey, can I taste your drink? It looks so interesting, I want to know what it tastes like."
When Lexi adjusted his hat beyond his alcohol inhibited skills, smilling at him. "Apparently, maybe my hat is still baked. It tends to get a little sideways...Thanks." His hat was always a good indicator of his state of mind, anyone around him enough with quickly notice it. He took another drink, only a couple more remaining in the jug when Lexi asked for a taste. He pushed the drink away from him, stopping it right infront of her. "Go for it" taking out a silver cigarette case and lighting one up. "I'm going to get another soon enough". Making sure to exhale his smoke not directly in Lexi's personal space before deciding to offer her a cancer stick of his own. "You smoke?" taking another glorious puff and exhaling out his nose.
