The music let Marta do what she wanted to...cry. It Ends Tonight blasted out of the stero she had pluged into the wall. The music was something that she had heard when she first got to America, and it still had the same effect on her, seven years later. Marta wasn't sure why she was crying or if it was for the right reason, but she did know that the tears coming down her cheeks made herself feel good about the world again.
Marta didn't know how she got there, but she was in the theater sitting on the stage with her stero in the wall playing that one song over and over again. Marta sat at the front of the stage, right in the center with her knees drawn up to her chest and her arms wrapped around her knees tightly.

Late in the day, Rob walked the halls of building, it looked like all classrooms. He was supposed to drop off a car that belonged to a professor, that had broken down in the city. The guy was so rich, he had included a cab ride back, if someone brought his precious little sports car to him. Not that Rob really cared, he might pocket most of the money, and catch the train back to the city. But they said the professor was in this building, in an office upstairs. And he had yet to find anything like stairs.
Walking past a large room, he heard the song blaring from a stereo inside. Somebody really liked the All-American Rejects, from the sound of the song. Maybe they knew where he could find that prof's office? Walking in the room, he saw it was a large theater, and he glanced around the room, a goofy grin on his face. What would it be like to play music in a place like that? It might be a cool thing to do, if he could ever find the time to get a band going.
As he walked closer to the stage, he sees a girl sitting there, next to the stereo, and she didn't look like she was noticing anything, except the music. But no one else was around, and maybe she could tell him where to go. He stands in front of the stage, waving a hand, and shouting over the music. "Hey, excuse me? I'm a little lost, can you tell me where to find..." He stops, as he notices that her face was wet, and now he felt like he was intruding. It was too late now, he had already said something to her, and he couldn't take it back. Maybe he could ask quickly, and then leave, since it seemed that she might want to be alone.
