It was late on wednesday night, and not much had been going on at the campus, or in Huntley at all for that matter tonight. Shane was able to get his hands on an empty classroom after convincing the head of the music department that his muse came out msot at night, and there was nowhere else to really play without disturbing someone. A bright, full moon was painting the sky with it's lunar glow and reflecting off of the snow that still remained on the campus grounds. This was causing just enough light to get into the classroom for Shane to be comfortable, thoguh it was still pretty dark.
He had his black acoustic with him tonight, and he sat at the desk with the chair rolled out rather far. He was wearing a grey abercrombie hoody, but it was hot enough in the room that he had rolled up his sleeves to the elbow while he idly strummed on the strings.
He was thinking though, trying to hear words in his head, trying to form notes. He couldn't really grasp anything, letting otu a bit of a sigh. He was even a little lonely, which was odd for him. He placed the guitar down on the desk and headed over to the window, opening it a crack to let some cold air in, and takign a breath of it.

Jasmine made her way down the corridor, occasionally turning her head, so look for teachers who walked around at night to check if any of the students were out of bed. So far so good. She hadn't been caught yet. Although it was pas midnight adn she was supposed to be in bed, she wasn't going to wear her pyjamas. Instead she threw on blue skinny jeans which hugged her figure, a guns'n'roses t-shirt and gren flip-flops. In one hand she held her book filled with notes and such for her songs and all ideas and stuff. In her other hand she held a bottle of coffee, iced.
She opened the foor to one of the room and almost screamed as she already found someone in there. After gathered herself up, she realised it was only Shane.
"Oh, I didn't think I would find you here."

Shane didn't move. He expected it to be a security guard or something who was about to complain about him loitering. the DJ always kept his cool, especially when he had a good excuse. In this case, it was permission from teh Professor himself.
Upon turning around, Shane is quite surprised to see Jasmine. That surprise quickly fades into a sense of happiness that appears mildly on his features. He offers a smile, that half-devilish one of his that he had after succeeding at something. In this case, he hadn't really succeeded at anything, but one of the few girls in the world who he saw as more than just another body was nwo standing in front of him.
"Hey Jaz," he took a step forward. "I was just trying to write some songs. Not getting too far though. What are you doing here?"

"Hey Shaney-boy." She said using the nickname she had for him. She held up her book of notes. "Same here."
She took a seat on the table, being careful not to hurt his guitar. She ran her manicured fingers over the strings. Her wavy brown hair fell over her face and reached her hand up to brush her hair away from her eyes. She had sideparted her hair so her fringe would often fall in front of her face. She crossed one slender leg over the other.
"I've written a few lines but that's about it. I came here hoping to get a change of scenery." She said opening up her book and resting it on her leg. She had come up with the music to go with it but needed the words to go along with it. She began to sing a few bars to him.
'Do you wanna run away together?' I would say it was your best line ever. Too bad I fell for it... And I walked along, Waiting for you to come along. Take my tortured heart by the hand. And write me off.
She looked up at him when she finished. "That's all for now."

Shane headed over as he listened to the words of the song. They definitely sounded good, and it seemed to jump start his muse. His reaction was silent, no comment on whetehr he liked it or not. Grabbing the black guitar, he propped himself up onto the table in front of her, sitting on top of it and letting his knees drape over the edge, leaving his feet dangling inches from the floor.
He started playing a few chords. Every now and then he'd stop and start over, changing some of the ordering a bit. Eventually, he started playing what could sound like a full song.
"I could put music to that pretty easily. What kinda song did ya see it as? Sounds a little pop-rock to me," he smiled, grabbing the sweating can of red bull sitting next to him and takign a long sip. He had filled it half with vodka. A little buzz was always good for keeping his creative juices flowing, but no one else had to know that. That's why it was hidden in the red bull can.
Jesus. She looked good. She always looked good. Some of his attraction to her had to have been from their shared love of music and friendship. He had always been a little worried about going beyond flirting with her. Of course he had a crush, and it would make sense to, wouldn't it? He was just worried that he'd fall for her and she wouldn't be so easy to forget about the next morning. It scared him.
((OOC: Whatever. Play it however you want. Shane's the one with the crush, not Jas.))

She folded her hands in front of her, resting on her notebook, which had the pen sticking in the spiral binding. She watched him silently, putting music to her words. She watched him take a sip of his can of red bull, which usually would have something else mixed with it. But whatever. "Hmm. I think more like an acoustic sort of thing. It was kinda slow, when I started to write it so.."
Her kohl-outlined eyes darted towards her notebook adn looked up again. She hopped off the table and tooka seat next to Shane and gave him a friendly nudge. She didn't really like facing people. It was quite intimidating for her. She turned to face him. "So you found any good clubs lately?
She moved her hand up to his face and with the back of her hand, she rubbed the stubble on his chin. She liked stubble on a guy.
OOC: Sorry for the short post. Lack of inspiration today. Hey I was just wondering. Is Shane the type to make the first move?

"Just the usual clubs. Nothing too exciting. It's kinda a dead season here until it gets warmer, but the foam party I'm DJing friday is gonna be crazy," he said, looking to Jasmine who was now brushing his cheek. He was sort of used to it. They were such close friends and were very comfortable with each other, so being touchy wasn't all too weird.
"A little slower? Okay," he turned his body just slgihtly to make room for the guitar as he propped it back up. Again he started playing some chords, this time much slower and more drawn out. "Like this?" he asked while he kept playing.
Shane scanned her face for a reaction.

She nodded with a smile on her face. "Yeah like that."
She ran her hand up her arm as she began to feel goosbumps on her arm, due to the slightly cool breeze drafting from the open window, which she guessed Shane had opened. She should have bought a jacket. It was winter, how could she forget. She'll get over it. She was quite used to the wind and the cold. When he stopped playing, she rested her chin on his shoulder and looked at him. A silence fell over the room. And the two of them sat together in silence, occasionally hearing a quiet chirp of a cricket.
She swung her legs back and forth, her heels hitting the table legs quietly and sending an occasional 'pong' echoing through the room. She began to sing a song she had written a while ago, softly.
"Smile an everlasting smile, a smile can bring you Near to me. Dont ever let me find you down, cause that would Bring a tear to me. This world has lost its glory, lets start a brand New story now, my love. Right now, therell be no other time and I can show You how, my love. "

Shane just kept playing. He didn't really know what else to do. Jasmine was sounding good as ever, but he didn't want to interrupt her by telling her that. Instead, he simply changed the tune a little, adding in a few more complexities to the subtle tone that the acoustic was hitting.
He turned his head to look at her, feeling her chin move on his shoulder each time she sang another word. It was soothing, almsot like a little massage with music right there on his shoulder. Eventually though, the song came to an end. Her lyrics stopped jsut before his chords, almsot like they coudl read each other's minds.
"Want me to close that window?"

Yeah, she wanted him to, but didn't want him to move. She was comfy. "Nah." She said barely audible. It was weird how they could almost read each other's mind. That was how close they were. She was lucky to have him as a fried. She moved her hand and traced a pattern on his arm, with her finer, running it over the veins which she could see. She blinked and stayed silent. A few strand of hair fell in front of her face adn she brushed them away gently, not moving much.
She moved her other hand up, letting her notebook fall to the floor with a light 'clatter' and moved her hand up to his hace and turned his head gently to face her. She rubbed her thumb gently across the stubble that adored his face, near the chin. She never really noticed how nice his eyes were. They were a really nice, interesting, enchanting grey.
It was weird how she never really noticed them properly before, until now. She eyes travelled down to his lips and how much she wanted to kis them. Mentally, her eyes widened.
Oh dear.
