I wasn't sure if I should go ahead and post with all the other 'not until females are accepted' applications or not, so I'm just setting it here. =)

Full Name: Gwendolyn Aurion Banks
Age: 25
D.O.B: 2 January, 1982
P.O.B: London, England, United Kingdom
Gender: Female
Member Group?: Citizen
Profession: Broadway actress
Appearance:
Gwen stands at 5'2" with a strong, slender body with relatively muscular arms and legs. Her skin is naturally light but over the years has developed a gentle tan. The young woman's almond shaped eyes must be kudos to her blood father because they have no resemblence of her mother. She also has dark, thin eyebrows with a natural arch. She has a small nose and average lips. Her dark brown hair occasionally grows lighter from being out in the sun but she tries her best to keep it as dark as possible. She keeps it at a manageable but attractive length, normally resting just past her shoulders and designed to appeal to the newest fashion.
With a naturally slender and attractive figure, most would agree that Gwen is a beautiful woman; and, whether it be good or bad, Gwen realizes this as well. Over the years, Gwen kept fit with running and a low-carb diet. Her metabolism, like the rest of her family, is extremely high and is constantly falling in her favor. She also kept up with stretches each morning and visits to the gym three days a week. By keeping in shape, she has discovered she can use her figure to acquire things she might otherwise have a hard time getting.
Her sense of fashion is precise and intricate. She is the woman you see spending more money on clothing than she foots for her own bills. If a colour matches her eyes or makes her figure seem more slender than it really is, she is the first to pounce on it - no matter what the price. Broadway pays well, and Gwen is the woman who makes sure that fact is known. She is particularly fond of skirts and tops that reveal more than probably necessary. Teasing and drawing eyes is something she adores more than anything and her style reflects this entertainment.
What Don't They Like About Themselves:
She is never skinny enough. There are always women who look better than her or dress better than her. She is never satisfied with her physical appearance, though she is so often complimented on her beauty and delightful figure. In Gwen's eyes, she is never the perfect size. Although does not see herself as overweight in the slightest, she is constantly envious of other actresses. Her body is never good enough for her liking and her bust is far from what she considers perfection.
If Gwen had the nerve to undergo plastic surgery to remove her mole, she probably would. Unfortunately, her desire to go under the knife is not strong enough to contradict the distaste for the mole on her cheek. Several men have complimented the cute little birthmark but it has done nothing to change her personal view. It is a distraction, she believes. When it comes time to go on stage, she must be assured the mole has been covered up and cannot be seen.
Her height also bothers her. Gwen, at one point, wanted to get into modeling but was declined because she was not tall enough. More than anything she wishes she was at least 5'7", the runway height, but unfortunately that is a dream that will never be fulfilled. She stands at a solid 5'2" and does not seem to be growing. To make up for this, it is almost always certain you will find her in high heels or platforms that step her up to at least 5'5".
Celebrity: Natalie Portman
Personality:
Gwen is a spontaneous young woman with a bold temper and blunt opinion. She has no tolerance for animals. She cannot stand being around dogs or cats, and throws small temper tantrums when she is forced to stay in the company of a pet, whether it be for a performance or not. There is no particular reason for this trait; it seems to be inborn since it has been an issue since she was a child.
As mentioned previously, she is particularly spontaneous. She believes there is no set path in anyone's life and that living by the seat of your pants is the way to get by. As she has grown, however, that notion has been tamed to a degree. When it comes to her work and making a living, she realizes income is necessary to her survival. Even so, she doesn't tend to stress over it, like most do. Gwen knows if push comes to shove, she can rely on her grandparents in the United Kingdom.
Gwen has a tendency to get a raging temper when someone says something she dislikes or disagrees with. Although she tries to understand the points-of-view from those close to her, she has no tolerance for those from strangers. She is also terribly blunt about things she is opinionated on. This occasionally causes for her to get quick enemies, but those who know her well enough realize it is just part of who she is.
One other aspect of Gwen's personality is her inner distaste of love or passion. She prides herself on her acting skills and has used such to fulfill her physical desires. Unfortunately, she has no recognition of the word 'commitment' when it comes to relationships and leaves as quickly as she enters. Her mother did the same, and Gwen sees no reason why she shouldn't follow in her footsteps. Despite this quiet distaste, Gwen is more than willing to spend evenings in the bed of a stranger. Because of her commitments to her career, however, she is only found on random mattresses in between seasonal shows. To make up for lack of genuine love, she fills her life with flings and friends with benefits. Her flirtatious nature flares up in clubs, bars, and any other location an attractive male is within range. In her mind, temporary love makes up for everything she doesn't have.
Most people are surprised by her sense of humour. Although she is not going to be the class clown, Gwen is more than willing to crack a joke or two in the company of friends. Her sarcasm tends to bleed into her humour, but for the most part she is actually pretty funny. She tends to be more relaxed and entertaining around a group of friends, but occasionally she acts the same way with a stranger. Her humour is never lost on a man she is sleeping with, either. It seems to bring out the best in her sarcastic sense of humour, strangely enough.
Hobbies/Interests:
Theatre || Growing up in a world full of actors, directors, writers and sound crews, it only makes sense theatre is a shining star in Gwen's life. It was practically what she was raised to be; it is the world she knows and adores. Not only does she enjoy being the object of attention in a show, she likes to watch other performances both on and off Broadway.
Photography || Cameras spark some sense of intrigue with Gwendolyn Banks. From the time she was a child, she could be found lugging around her camera. Although she doesn't pick it up quite as often now, Gwen has a nice collection of photographs she keeps in the spare bedroom of her apartment complex. Her camera is nice, not the best, but far from being looked down at.
Travel || During off-seasons, Gwen and her mother would travel back across the ocean and spend weeks traveling through different countries. Amsterdam is perhaps one of Gwen's favorites, though Italy kept her attention strung quite high. Even though her mother is gone, Gwen tries to take a yearly trip out of the country.
Art || Though she may not have the artist's gift, Gwen is entralled with the work of modern artists. She is not particularly fond of past artists, though Da Vinci has always been a curious man in her eyes. Her apartment is lined with some of the most creative and often innovative techniques of artists from all over New York and the East Coast.

History:
Lauren Sydney Banks || Mother || Deceased
Lauren Banks was a performer. She was born to a small, though wealthy, family outside of London. From the time she was a little girl she only dreamed of the stage. It was her fire, her passion. The young woman graduated from an art school and made her way to the Big Apple to achieve her dreams. Lauren loved New York and the city seemed to love her, too. She took to the stage like a fish to water and before long she was on Broadway. She had made her mark.
On her twenty-eighth birthday, Lauren discovered she was pregnant. One-night stands were not unusual for the beautiful woman and it really should not have been taken as a surprise. Protection was not used, thanks to the amount of alcohol in her system, and only a few weeks later the result stuck out like a sore thumb. Lauren finished out her final weeks of the current production and then requested leave. Her directors were fantastic, and Lauren was given permission to take time off to finish out the final months of her pregnancy.
Not comfortable staying in New York alone and pregnant, Lauren flew back home to England. Her parents, though not disappointed, were frustrated to see their daughter with child and not even knowing who the father was. It was unfortunate, but life moved on.
On a surprisingly warm January morning, Lauren was rushed to the hospital. Labour had begun. It was late into the evening on the second day of the first month that a little girl was born. She was a month early and was probably the loudest and fussiest child in the hospital that day. Her dark locks matched her mother, but her eyes were a stunning brown in contrast to her mother's sapphire blue. Her early arrival made her very small, measuring a mere 19 inches and weighing just over five pounds.
Gwen was only two months old when she was flown from London to New York. Lauren was going back to work and she was taking her little girl with her. It was a spontaneous decision, but the woman had to return to her career. Gwen practically grew up on Broadway. Lauren was the only actress at the time with a child, and the entire staff and crew adored the little girl to pieces.
By the time the girl was a toddler, she was attending some rehearsals with her mother. Gwen was a very quiet child growing up - a strange contrast to her noisy and loud cries when she was first born. Her silence was almost unnerving, but it made her mother's life much easier. Although Gwen was enrolled in a daycare service, she spent a great deal of time in the front row during rehearsals, watching with large, intrigued brown eyes.
From the time she was five until she turned eighteen, Gwen was enrolled in private art schools. She was a very well-rounded young child, though her strengths lied in the arts. She had a good hand in painting and sketching, but her adoration was with theatre. From the time she was three, Gwen practically idolized her mother and her fellow actors. In her eyes, the Broadway performers could do no wrong. Though it was more a subconscious effort than anything, Gwen pushed herself to reach the ideal perfection she thought would earn more of her mother's affection. If she could only be the star actress and follow in her mother's footsteps, life would be a piece of cake.
Lauren doted upon her daughter from the time she was born. Although she had never wished to be pregnant or have children, the young mother was thrilled when Gwen was born. Since money was never a problem, the little girl was absolutely showered with gifts and presents galore. Gwen received the majority of the items she requested and was constantly the apple of her mother's eye. Lauren always called Gwen her beautiful little "china doll", complimenting her feminine features and beautiful appearance.
Gwen shared her home with a fair hand of men while she was growing up. Her mother was never one to settle down entirely; rather, she spent six months or a year with one man before kicking him out and finding a replacement. Gwen never addressed them as anything other than their first name. It was commonplace to wake up in the morning, go downstairs for breakfast, and ask whatever man that happened to be standing by the sink if he could get down the cereal for her. Only when she turned twelve did she begin ignoring them and taking care of herself.
Gwen didn't know any better than to accept this lifestyle as normal and eventually follow in her mother's footsteps to some extent. Throughout middle and high school, Gwen surrounded herself with temporary lovers. She was the daughter that never had to sneak out: she just told her mother she was leaving and would be back in time to get ready for school. It was ill-parenting to allow such freedom to the youthful girl, but life went on.
Alcohol was something Gwen was introduced to at a frighteningly young age. Whenever she attended afterparties with her mother, Gwen would be allowed to drink a mixture of wine and juice. Once she turned thirteen, she was allowed her own glass of wine. It took a decent amount to get her tipsy, surprisingly. Her small figure could hold it's own and she never actually got "drunk" or "trashed" until she was sixteen.
Gwen remained with her mother after she graduated from high school. She had been in numerous school performances and starred in a wide variety of community theatre shows. She had even managed to slip in as an extra in one of the Broadway shows when she was seventeen. The managers on Broadway saw great potential in Gwen but chose not to consider any official employment until she was eighteen.
On the night of her eighteenth birthday, Gwen went out with her friends and boyfriend of the time, Giacomo. He was five years her senior and had an Italian accent she couldn't help but melt away with. The two met in a club a month prior and Gwen was spending the night in his bed ever since. Protection was always key, but the gear shifted on the eve of her birthday. The entire group got wasted beyond reason and ended up parting ways around two in the morning. It is a blessing Gwen and Giacomo made it back to his apartment in one piece. In celebration of her birthday, the two enjoyed romping in the sheets until the sun rose. It was a birthday to always remember.
A week later, she was offered to audition for the fall performance on Broadway. She earned her callback and within two weeks was told she had secured a role. Gwen was on cloud nine until it all came crashing down at the end of the week. Her period had been delayed and for the sake of keeping a peace of mind, Gwen picked up a test on her way home from lunch one afternoon. She discovered, much to her dismay, the test was positive.
She couldn't handle telling Giacomo; she didn't love him enough to stay with him and keep his child. It was chaos -- she was going to be a Broadway actress. She refused to go through the same trial her mother did. Gwen broke everything off with Giacomo only days before she had an abortion and rid herself of the child. She never told her mother - she never even told her closest friends. It broke her heart, although she didn't want to admit it, to abort the child. Whenever the topic of pregnancy or birth comes up in conversation, Gwen gets the familiar stab in her stomach that makes her feel like a murderer.
When Gwen was twenty-two, her mother was killed in a subway shooting. It was one of the most dramatic moments in her life and haunts her dreams from time to time. The day had been like any other, nothing unusual or out of the ordinary. Gwen had been at rehearsal for another Broadway show when she got a phone call from the hospital. Her mother had been stabilized but slipped out shortly after. By the time Gwen arrived to the hospital, her mother had been officially proclaimed gone.
Time has healed the wound of her aborted child and deceased mother. Although she refuses to share anything about her abortion with anyone, Gwen is more comfortable discussing her mother. She couldn't avoid the subject during her work - everyone knew Lauren and seemed to adore her. Condolences were thrown at Gwen left and right and she eventually adapted to discussion of the horrible event.
Three years later and Gwendolyn is still making her mark on Broadway. She is constantly revered as one of the best actresses her directors have discovered.
