"But what if it hurts?"
Anna's voice rang pitifully in the small dorm as she watched her best friend with wary eyes. The designs were bound to be gorgeous, but did she necessarily want to put one on her body forever? The thought of a needle full of ink puncturing her skin over and over again made her shiver. Then again, if the designs in the tattoo parlor had been pretty, she could only imagine how amazing Josh's designs were. His artistic flare was a force to be reckoned with, that was for sure.
Tapping her fingers on the bed comforter beneath her, Anna sighed and nodded slowly, eyes on the ground near the corner of the room. "Let's see what you've got." Her tone was almost sad, but not quite. She was sitting on the fence as to whether or not to get a tattoo with Lexi. If she did, she knew it would be small and shouldn't be in a place where everyone could see it. She had told Josh that when he asked her if she had made up her mind; now, she sat in her dorm wondering if he had come up with any designs she might fancy.

"youlll be fine"He said offhanded as he was finishing up his last piece. "They let someone in with ya dont they?'he asked, glancing up at her for a breif moment before going back to his work. "I mean... you guys wll be seperate, but if youd like if they let me I could go in and like hold yoru hand or distract you or something"He shrugged, "Whatever."
Josh had been working on a few things. He wasnt much for making simple girly things, but he wanted to see her get a tattoo and was flattered she had wanted him to make a design for her. He had thought about it, nothing real hard but he was going to have something with a bit of an edge. It was her personality. Sweet yet if need be she could hold her own. he rubbed his chin, leaving some smudge on it, from the smudges of pencil lead on his fingers from brushing and shading in a slight way. He picked up the red colored pencil and did some finishing touches on the last one he had been doing. He surveyed his work and with a final nod, flipped it to face her.
There were a few small ones. A blue cresent moon with a blueish Fearie sitting on it her leg hanging down as she plucked petals from a flower, a few petals having the look of falling. She had a weaved crown thing around her head. Another one was of a humming bird and a really pretty little butterfly at a flower, the humming bird with its beak in it. Another was a cluster of Stars in such a patter that looked really cool. And the last was a little bigger then the rest. It was of an angel. Her top half was whitish/gold almost with a glitter looking affect, a halo atop of her head and the tops of her wings were feathered with a gold tint to them. She was strumming a Harp. Her top half looked aas though it was covered in a ripped white cloth that came up over one shoulder and then ripped just under her breats and at an angle. Her bottom half seemed to transform, into a Black ripped short skirt thing, her featherse on her wings turning black with red tips and she had along devil tail and wore red high heeled shoes. The bottom of her harp seemed to trun into a harp in flames. She was winking and had red lips.
He raised his brows, "Umm... I dont really know... I can do more, but .. thats just off the top of my head right now"He said, 'Give me a night and i could have better ones for you if youd like"he said and shrugged.

Anna nodded, chewing her lower lip and letting her eyes dance across her dorm room. Her mind was running one million miles per hour, thinking of all the consequences of getting a tattoo. The thought was making her head spin, but if her friends thought she should get one and Anna, herself, was leaning towards it - how bad could it be? "I'd like if you would go," she said, turning her eyes to look at him with a small smile before taking a deep breath and leaning her back against the wall.
He spread out the designs in full view so Anna could look each of them over. Each was intricate and detailed, making her smile purely for the fact of being proud of him. "You're so great, Josh," she said quietly as she let her eyes trail from one design to the next. She tried to envision each of them on her. Her first attraction was to the crescent moon and tiny fairy; however, when her blue eyes settled on the star pattern, her eyes widened and she leaned forward to get a closer look. The way they were set out in such a spangled pattern made her eyes dance. It was gorgeous.
"I like that one," she said, pointing to it with a gleam in her pale, blue eyes. "I mean, I like them all, but I really like that one." She laughed and adjusted her weight, crossing her legs and looking up at him. "Black would be better than colour, don't you think?" Anna loved colourful designs, but she had a feeling black would match whatever she wore that revealed the cute design.

He nodded. 'Then I'll come"he said, "Wouldnt dream of having ya do it yerself"He smirked and shook his head. He watched her expression as she looked over the designs, her eyes showing different things as well a sher face as she looked at each of them. He grinned when she picked the star one and nodded. 'mmm...."he said, "Thought so.."he collected the others as he left that one out for her.
"yeah... Black is preferred"He said, he wasnt much into colorful tatoos. Maybe a little dash of color in a black one, but not all color or anything of that nature. Some tattoos did look better with color, but again, he preferred the black. "itll look really good on you, sexy even"He said, "Where you gonna put it?'he asked, and smirked. He set his stuff aside making sure it wouldnt be in a place where he might accidentally kick it and ruin it and then leaned onto the bed resting his chin in his palm, looking up at her.

Better clarification of tattoo location/appearance :: Here"Thanks," she said with a soft smile, glancing at him one more time before letting her blue eyes return to the design. It was enchanting, to say the least. "You're too talented, Josh." When she spoke, her eyes flickered briefly to his own. She was jealous, though not in a green with envy way. His talent was overflowing and she was exceedingly proud of him; she often wished she had some sort of artistic ability, but her drawings always turned out looking like smashed fruit rather than the person she was attempting to sketch. After awhile, Anna threw out her pencils and notepad and accepted her lack of flare in that area.
She rolled her eyes at his suggestion of sexy. "Yeah, right," she returned with a smirk of her own. Anna leaned her head against the back of the wall at his next question. She had been pondering this for awhile now: where could it go? She didn't want the world to see it at first glance. Anna also couldn't put it somewhere that might prohibit any advantage in her theatre career. Her arms were out of the question, as was anywhere near her neck or collarbone.
Stretching one shoulder forward, Anna lifted her elbow and ran a slender hand down the upper half of her side just beneath her arm and close to her chest. She didn't say anything, just glanced down at her friend wondering what his opinion was. "It would show if I wore a swimsuit," she said with a small, almost embarassed, smile. She didn't want him to think her idea was stupid; but, after long thought, Anna knew that was were the tattoo was going to go. She had made up her mind.

Josh just shook hi shead, he never knew what to say to compliments like that. He just never knew how to take them. He rubbed the back of his neck and then looked back up at her. At her skeptisim on the tattoo looking sexy he shrugged."youd be surprised'He said, "if I were a guy...."he stopped. "Wow.. did I just say if I were a guy..."he held his hand up and closed his eyes rubbing the bridge of his nose. Josh had a tendency to not sleep and when he did, he'd only get a half hour here or an hour there, but never in large amounts. "I meant...if I saw a girl...that had a tatoo like that and depending where it was, then I'd think it would definately be sexy'he said looking a ther and nodded.
He watched her as she motioned to where the tatoo would go. He smirked and nodded picturing it. He glanced up at her and shook his head, "Definatly sexy"he said, "Little flare" he added. Josh stood up and stretched his arms above his head and then rubbed his arms. "When do you think youd be getting this done?"he asked her as he looked at her again, running a hand through his dark hair and then patting it back down.

Anna laughed and playfully nudged his shoulder with her free hand. "Something you need to tell me?" she queried with a teasing grin. She loved messing with Josh. She just shook her head and rolled her eyes again at his continued persistance. "Aww, does that mean you'll tell me I'm sexy from now on?" Her pale blue eyes danced in humour as she pulled her legs up to her chest, resting her chin on the top of her kneecap.
Her lips parted just barely and her eyes narrowed when he smirked at her. Did he think that wasn't a good choice? Either way, that was where it would go. At least, that was the general location. She still had to decide if it would go on her right side or left side.
She laughed quietly when he spoke, and nodded in agreement rather than poking fun at the discussion again. "I don't know," Anna said with an honest shrug. "I guess whenever I can get you and Lexi and Jay to go with me."

he looked down with a smirk shaking his head. "Mm.."He said, "your terrible'H elooked back up at her and sighed. "mm...your making it wierd for me to say that to you"he said, "Im just telling you from a guys point of view is all"he rubbed the back of his neck as his gray/blue eyes looked up at her again. Josh wasnt one to blush but if he was, now would be one of those times.
He gave her another small shrug. 'Either way I like the idea...and.. its origonal to have it there, not many girls do that." he shrugged. "'well...I dont do anything so really whenever you guys decide a good day to go is, just let me know and Ill come"He nodded and hten smirked. "You and Lexi both getting tattoos...what is the world coming to, "He teased playfully.

"I know!" she returned cheerfully, running her hand down her side again. She felt her smooth skin beneath her fingers, wondering how on earth she was going to manage this tattoo. Would her skin feel different? Would she be able to tell the slighest difference purely by touch? Anna doubted it, but there was no way to know for sure until she took the plunge.
Anna nodded thoughtfully, grateful to accept his opinion. "Oh, Josh, what would I do without you?" She leaned her head against the sturdy wall, her soft hair providing a cushion from the flat surface. Closing her eyes for a minute, she shook her head at his teasing question. "I have no idea," she said with a shrug.
Flickering her eyes open to toss him a smile, she couldn't help but wonder why she was getting a tattoo. She wouldn't admit that part of it was for the desire to fit in, but she wanted to do something adventurous. Getting a tattoo definitely fell in the adventurous category. "I think Jay is going to get one," she added thoughtfully, arching her eyebrow at Josh. "But that's our Jaylin, for ya." With a laugh, she ran her hand through her hair and let her eyes drop once more to the piece of paper with the star design.
"Oh," she added, suddenly perking up and looking her friend straight in the eye. "Lexi wanted me to ask you to put the design on tracing paper. I have no idea what it is, but she wanted me to tell you." Anna knew she sounded completely silly, not knowing something so simple; but, it wasn't her area of expertise and she had never been within a mile radius of a tattoo parlor in her life. She had her excuses. Besides, her innocence pleaded in her favor.
