You should watch this. This Danish Mare is amazing! Watch at how smooth and graceful she is! I wish I owned her, but I don't. -cries-

OMG I'm sooo jealous. My horses aren't even a hundreth as good as she is... *whimpers*. My instructor came over to watch in the middle of it, hehehe.

Oh, how magnificent. I normally have a hard time watching dressage, simply because I'm a stadium jumping addict. The two times I've been to Rolex, even, I spend a lot of time showing during the dressage phases. But that was absolutely incredible! The music was so perfect. What a magnificent horse.
Too bad my Arabian can't brush up on his own dressage from her. =P

Oh, neat! I rode western with my first horse. We did barrel racing and pole bending - so much fun. I don't ride as much now, but when I do I tend to stick to English equitation and hunter. Cutting is fun to watch, but I wouldn't try it myself, haha.

Yeah, I show in hunters and jumpers with my Welsh Pony X Appaloosa, then we're starting to train a pure Welsh... I started taking dressage lessons from a well known woman around our area, but we haven't gotten that far. lol.
What circuit do you show in, Anna? If you don't mind me asking.

Oh, it wasn't anything rated. I did some low-key AHA shows with my current gelding, and then my first mare I used for 4-H and local shows. =) I could never afford to compete on the rated circuit. I don't think I'd want to, haha.

Yeah, we do USEF (United States Equestrian Federation) rated Welsh Pony shows. Yet, we've started to get into "A" and "AA" rated hunter/equitation shows. The people aren't that bad, they're just not too friendly. That part sucks... Because I like hanging out with friendly people. Hehehe.

Ah, yeah. I've done one rated show - have you heard of Brownland Farms in Franklin, Tennessee? I did a show there once but the tension was ridiculous. I am too laid-back to really enjoy it, I think. I mean, I do love winning, but I'm not obsessed with it like the people at Brownland are. Haha. When I go to my local AHA shows, it is always more fun. We have music playing and everyone is so social and sweet. It is so far from stressful.

That mare has a better sense of rhythm than I do... good lord! I'm glad I never got too deep into the English spectrum, otherwise I would've just been too discouraged to go on after seeing this video. lol.
