Everything seemed to be going so well right now. He figured that she'd pull away soon enough, and they'd end up some place just talking like the friends they were. But he wanted to live in this moment as long as he could hold on to it. If only he could hit pause, and just stand here like this for longer than this moment is going to last. Teddy knew now that he was falling hard for this girl. And she was doing this that was causing this. It was her fault, if you will.
He took a deep breath in. His deep breath caused his cheeks to go even brighter with color; it was like giving oxygen to a flame. He was exploding inside, and he knew he had to pull away. It was hard because he didn't want to. 'Come on, Teddy. Just pull away...' he thought to himself. With that, he lifted a foot and just about pulled away.
But suddenly he felt her lips on his. If he was exploding before, he might as well be in pieces right now. It's like there was dynamite inside of him, and it was just waiting to go off. The moment Anna kissed him, the dynamite blew and now he was just pieces on the wet ground. Of course, that didn't actually happen. But it might as well have.
Even if the kiss didn't last long, it felt longer to Teddy. It felt exactly like one of those moments. You know, those really romantic moments in movies; where the two main characters finally give their heads a shake. Eventually, it ends in a really huge romantic kiss, with theme music; the whole bit. Once Anna pulled away, Teddy's head followed her a little, before he realized it was over. He opened his eyes and shook his head, trying to comprehend what just happened.
He looked into her eyes, studying her. Right now, it felt like he and Anna were in this bubble where nothing or no one else could hurt them. He barely even noticed the rain anymore. His free hand came up again to her cheek, and he stroked it ever so gently. He didn't say anything, before he leaned down and placed a soft, slow kiss on her lips. He couldn't help himself. Eventually he pulled away just a little bit, as he squeezed the hand that he was holding.

As soon as their lips touched, Anna felt her insides nearly collapse. Her butterflies rampaged, fluttering across every possible square centimeter in her body. It was a quick and sudden flurry of emotions all at once. She was cold, warm, excited, nervous, anxious, relaxed. It was anything and everything all rolled up into one gigantic explosion.
Anna had never willingly stepped forward into a kiss that wasn't staged and rehearsed. In fact, all the kisses, which were few, she had received were performed for a role. They were required. And, being the ambitious young woman she is, Anna was willing to take a few hits to climb her way up the ladder to her dream. They had never been heart-pounding, never been impulsive. All of those couldn't compare to the one she just pursued right now.
She shifted her weight nervously beneath his studying eyes. "I'm sorry," she said quickly, swallowing the growingly anxious feeling climbing in her throat. She had offended him, she just knew it. But, instead of rejecting her and walking off completely, he touched her cheek with his hand. Her eyes left the ground to settle on his own just before he leaned down and kissed her again. It was much slower than the first, but Anna still felt as though her chest lifted off the ground and took off on it's own. When he finally pulled away from her and squeezed her hand, Anna found herself biting her lip to hide the growing smile on her face. "You're not mad at me?" she asked quietly, using her free hand to brush the strands of auburn-blonde hair from her face.

Suddenly, a cold and harsh thought entered his brain. 'What if this will be exactly like the first?' He almost shivered as he came crashing back down to reality, where it was cold and raining. Anna was still in front of him, and he was still touching her cheek ever so lightly. He still enjoyed this situation; he couldn't not like it. But that fear was tugging at his brain now. 'Oh, come on. You didn't make the first move this time. Anna did. It'll be okay.' he added to himself, before chewing on his lower lip.
He let it go again; the second thought calming him a little. And he had just kissed her again, and she wasn't running away. At least, not yet. So it was still a good situation. It wasn't going to go bad, either. Teddy smiled wildly, as he studied Anna's features. He hadn't seen them this close, or in this light before. It was new and frightening; like going behind enemy lines. But it was also exciting and amazing. He couldn't decide whether this was a good thing or not.
Teddy couldn't help but be a little confused with the two words she said before he kissed her again. 'I'm sorry? Did she think I would be angry with her?' The next thing she said, after their second kiss, answered his question. "Of course not." he replied harshly, and barely audible even to himself. He cleared his throat, and repeated himself, a little louder. "I can't be mad at you for that," he added, and smiled again.

Anna nodded slowly. Butterflies continued to flutter around in her stomach - this wasn't over yet. The anticipation built up to one big drop, but she still had the rest of the rollercoaster to ride out. Now that the sweet moment was over, they stood together in reality. It was raini-- no, it was pouring. They were both drenched to the bone and looking a tad awkward standing out in the center of the park with nothing but each other to keep company. An umbrella might have been nice in a practical sense, though it would have subtracted from the romance of the moment. However, now that the romance had striked its match, Anna was beginning to wish they were still somewhat dry beneath the tree limbs and leaves.
"Um," she hesitated for a second. Her fingers felt odd interlaced in the hand of someone who wasn't a fellow stage performer. In theatre, everything was rehearsed down to crossing to another side of the stage. This wasn't theatre: this was reality. The next move wasn't scripted and written out to perfection. But did it really need to be? Not everything was preplanned, so why should this be any different?
With a small laugh, Anna looked down at her hand in his and then back up at his eyes. "I'm embarrassed," she said with a shy grin. Her pale blue eyes danced with happiness, an elite sort above most other forms. It was thrilling, compelling, everything a picture book romance could be. "I..." she laughed again, using her free hand to touch the back of her neck. "Should we get out of the rain now?" Her cheeks flushed pink.

Teddy let his free hand drop to his side, as he squeezed his eyes tightly shut to get the extra moisture off of them; aka, the rain. Oh, great. Now it looked like he was crying. He wiped them right away, before explaining himself. "It's the rain ... got in my eye. I'm not crying," he said lightly, with a smirk. It was the truth, and he only hoped Anna would believe him. He ran a hand through his mop of wet hair, and shrugged slowly. It was still raining quite hard, and he had a desire to not be wet. Or, at least be in a dry place. Then again, he didn't want to leave Anna right now either.
He was being too still. It was an odd thing, but he'd never really been this relaxed around somebody accept Evelyn; really. Usually he was fidgeting or playing with something. He sighed lightly, studying Anna for another brief moment. "So..." he said quietly, after she'd said, 'um'. So they just shared this particularly amazing kiss, and they couldn't find words. Or was it just Teddy who found it amazing?
"Embarrassed? Why? I kissed back," he pointed out, and let a small laugh pass his lips. He too glanced down at their hands, and it almost looked odd. His hand was rather overbearing and large compared to her small, dainty hand. He almost found it amusing, with the contrast between their hands. "Yeah, I think we should." he replied. "D-Did you want to go somewhere? Coffee shop, or... I dunno...somewhere?" he asked, his voice shaking slightly as he spoke; partly from cold and partly from nervousness. But it was mostly the cold.

Anna laughed and watched as he wiped the rain from his face. "Are you sure you aren't crying?" she teased quietly, the smile lingering on her mouth. She was still feeling the aftermath of the kiss and the tingling in her rain-soaked lips. She couldn't quite help the blush still touching the corners of her cheekbones; Anna wasn't necessarily embarrassed, she just felt a little out of place. There was a first time for everything but she hadn't a clue today would be a day she'd choose to step up and be bold. It was over now, though, and she felt the butterflies only gently in her stomach now.
The blush grew when he questioned her with a small laugh. Looking down again at her hand enveloped in his own, Anna ran her tongue across her lips and looked up at him again. Her shy smile was sweet and she nodded at his request to go somewhere else. "Do you think they'd let us in a coffee shop soaking wet?" she asked with a tiny smile, almost playful but not quite. She didn't think they would be allowed to bring the water in with them, but there was really no telling. Everything was happening a little quickly, but she liked it. It was an adventure and she fancied anything of the sort.
OOC: Kind of short, sorry!

Teddy's lips curved into a smile, for more than one reason. He just couldn't believe that he was standing in the rain, holding Anna's hand. He was holding Anna's hand. The one girl that he wanted to be with since he met her. "I'm positive," he replied playfully. He pulled his free hand up and pulled the soaked shirt off of his skin. He was starting to feel a tad claustrophobic in this wet shirt. It was of no use though, seeing as how the rain was still falling and it would stick to his skin once more. He looked down at the tiny girl in front of him, a smile forming on his face again.
"I dunno. Maybe if we stand at the door looking extremely sad for long enough, they'll let us make puddles all over their floor." he responded, with a small chuckle. "Or... do you want to come to my apartment? In a completely non-sexual way?" he asked, followed with a smirk. He didn't really know how to ask Anna; the girl he just kissed, to come to his apartment in a non-sexual way. But, saying it bluntly and honestly always seemed to work.

Anna smiled and her shoulders dropped a little as she relaxed. She let out a short sigh and squinted her eyes, looking up at the rain falling from the sky. Luckily none fell into her eyes, but it splashed all around her face, making her make-up run completely. She hadn't been wearing much, just a hint of blush and mascara; however, it was now washed away by the spring rain that refused to lighten up. Silly weather. It wouldn't have been a problem if it wasn't chilly and she was dressed for the occasion.
She giggled when he made his joke, shaking her head and freeing her hand temporarily to tie her hair in a small bun at the crown of her head. Oh the luxury of having long hair. By the time she was done, her eyebrows were arched at his question. It was bland, making her let out a short, almost uncertain laugh. He smirked at her, obviously amused by his query. Running her tongue across her lips and nodding, she said, "If you apartment is warm and has dry clothes, then I would definitely like to go," she said with a sweet smile.

Teddy ran a hand through his wet hair, slightly violently. It was always harder to do that when it's wet rather than dry. He took a deep breath in and let all of it out in one whoosh, as he glanced around. He might've looked a little bored, but he really wasn't. Just had nothing to say, so he was going back to his fidgeting habits. He could see small puddles forming in random places, and he frowned at them. 'Yuck. Tomorrow, whether it's nice or not it'll be all wet...' he thought to himself, but shrugged it off.
Teddy felt Anna's hand pull from his, so he let it drop to his side. He let out a small cough, before using his voice. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure it has that. Well, let's go there then." He lifted his shoulders up and dropped them in another shrug. It didn't matter much to him where they went. He just hoped that they'd be going to that place together. "I don't live all that far from here, actually." he added, before turning in the direction of his apartment. But he didn't start walking yet, he decided to let Anna do that.
