Giggling and humming quietly to herself, Anna made her way across a beaten path leading to the park. It was nearly one in the morning, but she was unaware of the time. She had just come from a party and had planned to go back to her dorm until she realized how lovely it felt outside. With a contagious giggle, she began to sing to herself as she crossed the street and finally reached the park property.
The party had been incredible. Anna couldn't quite remember everything that happened, but she did recall a good deal of laughter of feeling like she was floating at the top of the world. What she did not remember was that her drink had been spiked and she was now tipsy and prancing through the park at one in the morning. It was a bit chilly, but she was comfortable in jeans and a sweater. Plus, her brilliant mood shined through enough to keep her from even thinking about being cold.
Anna had closed her eyes as she walked down the dirt path, humming and putting out quite a cheerful performance for the nature around her. She twisted and turned, not at all in her natural state. The young woman had never even tasted alcohol until tonight. And even then, she didn't realize it was in her system. She just felt elated. Everything was a little blurry but she felt good.
At least, she felt good until she knocked her head against a low tree branch. She had swerved off the road and walked straight into it. It scratched her forehead, making her head ache enough for her to quit singing. Lifting her slender hand to her forehead, Anna touched the mark and felt the tiniest dash of blood. It hurt, and she muttered to herself as she stood there in the grass looking down at her finger and wondering how it had happened. Oh, Anna.

You figured me out I'm like a leaf in the wind I try to find who I am ---- It was nearing one in the morning and Dylan stumbled along the sidewalk, walking adjacent to the park, a cigarette between his lips and a chill in his spine. The breeze went through him, in is light jacket and cursing the cold, Dylan looked both ways before hopping over the curb and jogged lightly across the road. He was going to cut through the park on his way to Blair’s, where he’d call a taxi to pick him up. He’d forgotten his cell phone, like usual, and would just use a pay phone to call one, but quite frankly, he had no idea where he was. He’d been at some random party, thrown by a friend of his sister’s, one that Dylan knew vaguely. Bored, he’d split, and wondered off in a daze, only to find himself, lost.
Throwing the butt to the ground, he stuffed his hands in the pocket of the brown bomber jacket he was currently wearing as he made his way along the dirt path, yawning as he did so. He heard a voice up above him, one of a girl and she seemed to be singing. Smiling to himself, Dylan shrugged it off hoping to death that Blair was home and not with some random guy and that she’d pay for his ride. Apparently, he’s forgotten his wallet as well. Tonight was not his night. He caught a glimpse of someone who appeared to be rather drunk, twirling around and around a distance in front of him and he was slightly taken aback when she all of a sudden walked right into a branch. He thought about rushing to her aid, but held back. It was late, he was in a strange park, in the dark and almost freezing. He sighed, before having his gentlemanly instincts get the best of him and he jogged at a slow pace towards her.
”Hey! Are you okay?” he stood in front of her, looking down, recognizing her immediately. Anna and him weren’t the best of friends, but they hung out every once and a while and Dylan thought she was a sweet girl, and a cute one at that. ”Anna, what are you doing?” he smirked his typical smirk, and offered her his hand to help her up from the cold ground. The sound of a voice made her whirl around in a sudden flurry. Or at least, she tried to whirl around in a sudden flurry. It ended up looking more like an uncomfortable twist followed by a mortified expression and a sharp pain behind her eyes. Turning around in such a quick manner was obviously not a good way to establish a clear head.
With fluttering eyelids, Anna looked up with narrow eyes at the figure standing above her. His voice sounded familiar, even though she could not see any detail on his face. His question reached her ears just as she saw his hand offered down to her. If her forehead was not nicked and trickling the tiniest amount of blood, she would have likely responded in the same sing-song tone with a quirky remark. It was definitely the liquour.
"Dancing," she said, taking his hand and carefully attempting to pull herself up. Her strength was greater than she realized, as was his hold. She drifted up to her feet much too quickly and let out a small yelp when she lost her balance. Instinct made her lift her hands and press them against his chest, desperately trying not to fall down. Her head spun, and though she still felt giddy, she couldn't help but find the lack of balance a little unnerving.
"And... falling, apparently," she added after she regained her balance and was standing on her own. Her hand returned to her forehead, a troubled but entertaining expression on her lips. "What are you doing here?" she asked suddenly, offering him a puzzled glance. Wasn't it really early in the morning? Or was it just late at night? Anna had no clue, but she wasn't sure why Dylan was out in the middle of the... day or night... in the park.

Return to days when you knew you still felt alive Reveal the way you felt when you could look inside ----
”Oh,” he replied to her with a laugh, as if it was obviously the most obvious answer ever. Why else would she be out so late in the park? Dylan helped her up, slightly surprised at her grip, for someone obviously intoxicated, her strength seemed much sturdier then one would expect. However, he wasn’t surprised when she stumbled, losing her balance and he extended his arms in an attempt to catch her. ”Whoa, there,” he muttered as she pressed up against his chest to catch herself. "And... falling, apparently," Dylan laughed. ”Apparently,” he nodded, his hands on her arms, helping her regain her balance.
"What are you doing here?"
”What am I doing here? I’m on my way home,” he smiled, shoving his hands in his pockets. ”What are you doing here, all alone, so late? Besides dancing… and falling of course,” he asked, a hint of teasing in his voice. Random strolls late at night, in New Jersey, were not part of his normal behavior, neither was partying for that matter, which was what he had been doing earlier. Still completely sober, he had left somewhat early and was now trying to find his way to his sister’s place. ”And have you been drinking Anna?” he asked, genuinely concerned. It wasn’t exactly the best idea to be alone and drunk in the middle of the night in a dark park. However, he couldn’t help but smirk at the thought of the girl he had taken to be so innocent, all buzzed and flighty. ooc;; sorry that it took so long, and that it's kinda bad >.<

Anna giggled when he laughed. She might as well be completely gone thanks to the liquor mixed in her system. It was unfortunate that she was unaware of her condition. It is one think to consciously drink and end up doing something stupid; it's another for your drink to get spiked and to be found dancing in the park with a bleeding scratch on the forehead.
She took advantage of his hands on her arms in order to get her balance back. Swaying back and forth a little, the young woman felt dizzy. However, the pleasant buzzing in her blood and tingling on her skin made her smile and laugh quietly while she tried to remain upright without tipping over again. For once the girl was genuinely at a loss and it wasn't her fault. Of course she probably should have not set her drink down, but it was either that or carry it to the bathroom. And that was just gross.
His response registered in her head but quickly dashed out the other ear when he returned the question. It made her think, and the smile faded slowly as she attempted to figure out what exactly she was doing here. "Umm," she rubbed her finger across her forehead. Her small scratch had quit bleeding but a tiny red mark still remained.
Before she could answer, he pounced another question. She looked up a little too quickly again and her hand instantly returned to her head. Had she been drinking? "Are you crazy?" she asked, not thinking before she answered. Of course I'm not drinking, she thought to herself with a tiny shake of her head. But the more she moved and the harder she tried to deny the question, the less she remembered. Had she been drinking? Maybe she had... the entire evening was a bit of a blur. Anna couldn't quite remember anything besides dancing... dancing! That was it. She had been at a party. Yes, a party.
"I don't... I'm not really sure," she said after a moment, a low giggle escaping her lips as she realized her memory was a bit blown for the time being. She should have been a nervous wreck, but the intoxication only made her giggly. Everything was funny, it seemed. "I think I had punch?" Anna phrased it as a question, cocking her head just a little to the side as she seemed to ponder. It might have been punch... or it might have been Sprite. It could have even been Coke for all she knew. Another soft giggle dashed from her lips as she put her hand to her mouth to silence her laughter. No, it was fine!
