A Role Playing Game based off the television show 'Supernatural'. It's new, so we need original characters as well as important canon characters.
The plot is as follows:
Lawrence Kansas, November 2, 1983, Mary Winchester wakes to the cries of her eight month old boy, Sam. Moments later, Mary is dead and the Winchester home is up in flames. On the lawn firefighters and rescue workers scramble around to put out the blaze while a shattered family, John and his two sons, Dean and Sam, look on at what once was. Nothing will be the same.
Time passes as it always does, Sam is in Stanford University with high marks, and Dean is a soldier, a hunter dedicated to the cause of killing demons, ultimately in search of the demon that killed his mother. When John goes missing for several days, Dean calls upon Sam for help in locating him and what starts out as a weekend search, quickly turns into a hunt when the boys run into a ‘Woman in White’. Trained by their father in the little known talent of dispatching ghouls, spirits, demons and ‘things that go bump in the night’ Dean and Sam quickly vanquish the killer spirit. Upon returning home to California for an important interview however, Sam discovers that his girlfriend, Jessica, has been attacked by the same demon that killed his mother.
Months and countless hours on the road later the boys have continued searching for their father, finishing off anything supernatural that stands in their way, bringing them closer together as brothers. When they finally do find their father, John has found a gun -- a specially designed Colt with unique bullets -- that could help the Winchester boys finally finish off the demon that killed Mary and Jessica. However, as the Winchester victory seems at hand, the yellow-eyed demon and his cronies are not far behind. Striking against them swiftly, the yellow-eyed demon attacks and catastrophe ensues…
Arriving at the hospital following the attack from the yellow-eyed demon, the three Winchesters are in serious condition; two are conscious, the other clinging to life. After what seems like countless attempts by the staff, Dean’s condition has not improved, he is still unconscious and unbeknownst to anyone else is literally face-to-face with death. However, as Dean comes to terms with his fate, John intervenes and makes a deal with the yellow-eyed demon to spare his son’s life, sacrificing his own life and the colt in the process.
Dean is torn; he was supposed to die. Sam is eager to appease the memory of a father he never really knew. As the two remaining Winchesters come to terms with the death of a father and teacher in their own ways, something unnatural is brewing behind the scenes, something supernatural.
Months later and miles away in Antigo, Wisconsin part-time waitress and sometimes psychic, Paige Turner wakes to the sounds of something strange. A man that she had never met now settled in the corner of her room. The man claimed that he came in peace, that she shouldn’t fear him and that he had died several months prior… all he needed was help. The man explained to a disbelieving Paige that he was stuck in a purgatory that granted him no release, the only way to release him, he insisted was with the help of his two sons. Not only would Paige need to track down his sons, but she would need to inform them of a book that would release him from his purgatory and grant him life once again. The Book of Shadows; a Wiccan ‘religious’ text in which powerful spells are contained and added by the books owner, a book which has been lost for the better part of three centuries. At first, Paige tries her best to ignore the man, but when he begins to equivalently haunt her all hours of the day and night, Paige learns she must listen. Paige must find the man’s sons in order for him to leave her alone, in order for her to get back to a fairly normal life. Not only does the man need help though, but so do his boys. With the disappearance of the book, many others ─ including demons wishing to attain its power ─ have been searching for it. As soon as word gets out that the boys are searching for the book, demons looking to take the book for themselves will impede their quest. Should the boys get in the way, their lives would ultimately hang in the balance. Other hunters, he told Paige, must be willing to assist his boys throughout the search or all ─ including the lives of the boys and those involved ─ could be lost in the process. Some hunters however, may be looking to gain for themselves.
The man’s name… John Winchester.
