Lexi walks up to the door of the apartment of one Dr. Dominic Hudson, feeling a little nervous. Biting her lip in silence, she checks over her outfit one more time, she wasn't that late, it was only 7:35, and she had an excuse, of sorts. The taxi driver had taken the wrong turn, and had let her off about a block over. Would Dom buy it, though? She couldn't tell him the truth, that she had agonized the whole afternoon over what to wear that evening. Why was that so important to her? She was just having dinner with a friend. One of her cutest guy friends, but did that really matter?
So she had decided on something a little more dressy than casual, some tan flair pants, with black boots underneath, a black 3/4 sleeve fitted shirt, and a dark brown leather jacket. Not that difficult, once she had picked it out, but the choosing had taken forever. A hint of lip gloss, some eyeliner, and she had rushed out the door. But she was there now, and she had to keep telling herself over and over that it was just dinner, and nothing else. Not that she expected it to be more, there was the feeling creeping into her stomach again. Trying to push it away, she reaches for the doorbell, and hesitates for a moment. Sighing to herself, she pushes the button, hearing the chime coming from deep within the apartment beyond. Once more nervous check of her clothing, and she looks at the door, hoping that it would open soon.

Dominic had the sleeves of his charcol pinstriped shirt rolled up while he stirred the tommato sauce in the pot. He reached over adn took a pinch of chilli powder and sprinked it into the sauce, giving it a kick. He reached over again to get the bowl of mine he had cooked earlier adn put it in the sauce, stirring it in. He lifted the spoon up to his mouth, blowing it a bit to cool it down. He tasted it from the end of the spoon. He licked his lips to get rid of the ecess sauce. Grinning, he rinsed the spoon under the tap with hot water and then put it back into the pot. Perfect. He turned the gas down a little so it could just simmer for a while. He moved over to the bigger pot where the pasta was cooking.
Using a fork, he pulled scopped up a piece of the penne and bit into it, seeing if it was cookied yet. He headed over to the sink, spitting it in the bin. Not yet. He sighed. He turned up the gas on the stove, making it cook faster. He knelt down to peek into the oven to see if the garlic bread was ready. Okay, he was into the Italian theme tonight. He wasn't sure if she likes Italian food though. She referring to Alexia. Oh that name made his heart flutter. He felt very much like a school boy with a crush.
He headed over to his fridge and pulled out the half-empty bottle of red wine. He always drank a little bit every night. It was good for his blood. He checked if there was non-alcoholic drinks in there, because she wsn't of age to drink yet. Luckily, he did have a few cans of coke and other drinks. He opened the overheadcupboard adn pulled out a tumbler adn poured wine into the glass, making it half-full. He took a sip, swishing it lightly within his mouth, to take in the flavour. As he heard the doorbell ring, a childish, excited grin spread ovre his face. The funny feeling came running back to his stomach. He smoothed out his shirt as he headed to the door. He didn't need to look through the peephole as he knew it was her. Call it instict. He opened the door, to find, surprise surprise, Alexia. Looking gorgrous. Pfft, as always. He kissed her on the cheek, in greeting, and opened the door to let her in. "Come in, come in." He said taking her hand and pulling her in. Not in a forceful way, but as to guide her iniside.

As the door opened, and she saw Dom standing there, she smiled with a flash of her teeth. The smells of bubbling sauces, and boiling pasta, reach her nostrils, and thinks she made a wise choice by agreeing to come there, and let him cook for her. "Hey Dom, wow, that smells good!" As he reached over to kiss her on the cheek, she rests her hands on his arms, feeling the ripple of the muscles in them. Giving him a slight hug in return, she lets him pull her gently inside, by the hand, and she tries not to let her butterflies in her stomach get in the way of anything.
Taking a quick look around, with her brown eyes, Lexi sees that the apartment was the same as she remembered it. Feeling Dom's warm hand still in hers, she turns back, looking at him, and smiles. She looks at her hand in his, lifting her brows, and looks up back into Dom's wonderful eyes. "I might need that back, if I want to take my jacket off. Or to eat." She thought it was cute, he could be very affectionate, when he wanted to be. That probably meant he was going to be a good doctor, and she was going to really enjoy the evening. They had spent time together, in social situations, sometimes one on one. But this was a first for her, and she still felt a little nervous. Those feelings she had been having for him had just started recently, she didn't quite know what to do about it yet, if anything. She just wanted to have a little meal, and to have a little conversation, with one of her good friends. And not let her little touch of nervousness spoil the evening for the both of them.

"Ha. Thanks." He said as he recieved a hug from her.
He didn't mind the fact that she was late. He was sure she had a legitimate excuse. Besides the food was still cooking and it wasn't ready. He took his hand out of hers, though he didn't want to, and blushed when she said that she needed her hand back. His hand reached up to rub the back of his neck, he couldn't help it. It was like habit of his. Actually, he was quite excited about how this evening might turn out. She was here. It seemed that it was all hat matter at the moment.
"Oh, I'm being rude. Take a seat." He said leading her over to the sofa, infront of the plasma TV he had. He didn't know why he bought the thing, he barely watched anything with his schedule. Perhaps a few movies here and there, but that was it. "Want anything to drink? Soda? Water? I think i have everything, not to sure." He headed to his kitchen to look in his fridge. There was the jug of water that he kept on the bench. There were those cans of coke in the fridge. He had a few bottles of lemon, lime and bitters. There was that 2L bottle of lemonade. He kept all the alcoholic beverages in the cupboards. He leant back, enough to see her.
"If none of that tickles ya fancy, I have wine and whiskey and stuff like that?"
He heard a faint bubbling in on e of the pots and pushed the fridge door shut and hurried over to the shove, turning it down. He gave the sauce a stir and put the spoon up to his lips again. He made a sort of smacking sound with his lips to taste. Maybe he should let her have a taste. He held his hand under the spoon so it didn't drip. His eyes darted to the table in his kitchen. Maybe they should eat infront of the TV tonight. His table was stacked with medical textbooks, those home magazines (he wanted to renovate soon), and that bowl on fruit in the middle. "Hey Lex, c'mhere a second."

The coloring of his cheeks made Lexi smile, she couldn't help herself sometimes, and she had to say something flirty or witty. And she thought it was cute that Dom was so affected by those few words coming from her. He was so easy sometimes, in getting him to react to her flirtations, it was refreshing in a way. Getting him to laugh was really easy at times, she always loved to do that to him.
As he leads her over to the couch, and offers her something to drink, she sheds her leather jacket, and lays it across the back of a chair. Turning to follow him with her dark eyes, she sees him looking in the fridge, and she isn't sure how to react when he offered her just soda or water. She thought he drank socially, but why was he just offering that to her? Wait, he knew how old she was, maybe he didn't think that she drank? Before she could say something, he then offered her wine or whiskey. Smiling slyly at him, she says, "I'll have wine, Dom, unless you're not having any. Then I'll have what you are having."
As Dom makes his way over to the stove, she watches him tasting something, and sees some of the clutter laying around. Not unusual for a single doctor working odd hours, he probably didn't have a whole lot of free time. And that made things a little more special, at least in her mind. But they were just friends, right? A special meal between friends, that was all that this was, and how she wanted it to be. When he calls her over, she makes her way into the kitchen, her boot heels clicking over the tile floor. She stands close to him, as he leans over the stove, and she is very curious about what is in the sauce. "What is it, Dom?" She looks over his shoulder, wondering what he wanted to show her, assuming that is what he wanted to do.

He pulled out the bottle of wine again and a glass for Lexi. he poured a decent amount and it she wanted more, he would pour her more. But not too much, he didn't want a drunk person in his apartment. It had happened before, with the person spilling out his secrets and stuff. All he had to do was pretend that he didn't hear. he took a sip of his own glass of wine and swallowed, tasting the fruity yet musky taste of the wine.
He handed the glass to Lexi as she headed into the kitchen. As she took it, he took the rinsed wooden spoon and dipped it into the pot with the sauce. He held it up to her mouth, letting her taste the sauce. He watched her as she did. "What do you think?" He questioned. Hopefully it tasted right. Not to spicy, not to tomato-ey either. He wanted her to enjoy her food. As he watched her taste the sauce, he stealthily reached behind, dipping his fingers into the sink filled halfway for washing later and flicked some water at her face. He let out a laugh as he did. he didn't want her to think that this dinner was too serious and date-like. Sure he wanted to, but kept his feeling for her inside. They were good friends. Well to her it was. He liked her. A lot.

((no worries, I can only hope that my reply will inspire you to greatness))
As she watched him pour the wine, Lexi thought that Dom was very caring and very sweet. Not overfilling her glass, it was just the right amount, and that was probably what made him a good candidate for being a doctor. Taking the glass from him, watching him with her brown eyes, and raising it to her lips, she takes a small sip, the flavors of the wine rolling across her tongue. "Mmm, this is really nice, Dom, where did you get it?" She didn't want to drink too much before she ate, she didn't want to embarrass herself in front of him. He probably would be very nice about it all, but she didn't want to let herself go in front of him, she might frighten him away.
Smiling as he raised the spoon to her lips, Lexi tasted the sauce, and her eyes widen slightly. It was wonderful, not too spicy, like some people would make it. She wondered if where he learned how to cook, it wasn't unusual, but you couldn't find a guy who could prepare a nice meal every day. "Mm mm." With the spoon still to her lips, she feels water drops hitting her face, and she flinches, feeling some of the warm sauce trickle down her chin. Her dark eyes flickering with shock, then amusement, Lexi starts playfully jabbing her finger into his hard muscular chest. "Dom! What are you doing to me!" If he was going to play like that, she was going to play too, and she would win, eventually. She hoped that he was ticklish, even a little, and she could make him jump. But it also helped to relieve some of her nervousness, and she felt she could relax a little around him, and enjoy herself. What a thoughtful and caring friend he could be!

"I bought it, when I went driving to the countryside. I couldn't help but stop at a wine yard." he said, placing his glass down after a sip.
After flicking water at her face, he let out a grin as he watched her eyes go from shock to amusement. He added a laugh as he saw sauce drip down her chin. he reached up and wiped it with his thumb and then, wiped it on a cloth, draped over the side of the bench. This was after when she poked his hard chest. He immediately felt funny at her touch. He was glad, at the fact that she had loosened up. He did invite her over for a fun night out. Not something overly serious. He jumped a little, when he was beginning to get tickled. Damn, him and his ticklishness. he couldn't help it. It was just the way he was.
Staying clear of the pots, the two began a quite child-like war, with tickles thrown and water flicked, it started to look like they were at least 5 years old, mucking around. Not realizing water had fallen to the ground as a result of the water flicking, he slipped and brought Alexia down with him. Next thing he knew, he was facing the ceiling and Alexia was on top of him. He felt himself go warm and funny immediately. Having no control of his actions whatsoever, he placed both hands on either side of her face and kissed her. Not too rushed. Not too rough. but soft, smooth and slow. She would probably push him away but, like I said, he had no control whatsoever.

((it's okay, Mummy, you've been busy, and so have I *hugs*))
Lexi didn't flinch away, when Dom wiped away the sauce on her chin. She actually enjoyed his touch, she hadn't noticed too much, because she was distracted from the water being thrown at her. And as she saw that he was ticklish, she knew that she had an advantage over him. A sly smirk, and slightly widening eyes, showed how eager she was to make him squirm. They both were laughing, and she almost squealed, as she felt water being splashed on her. They were both acting so childish, but she was having so much fun. She never knew he enjoyed doing something so spontaneous like this.
As he slipped, and went down on the floor, Lexi felt Dom grabbing onto her, and with a shriek, she did end up on top of him. Almost laughing uncontrollably, she looks into his eyes, her brown eyes lighting up with amusement. Not wanting this to end, she starts to reach out to tickle him, now that she had him trapped on the floor. And then he was kissing her, it almost seemed like the next logical step. She leaned into the kiss at first, enjoying it very much, almost lost in the moment. Then, with an eye widening look of shock on her face, she suddenly pushes herself away from Dom. How could he? Wasn't he too old for her? And she had no idea he felt that way! Why couldn't he have said something?
Shaking her head, a look of confusion and surprise crossing her face, Lexi wants to know what is going on. And the only way to know was for her to confront him. As her eyes begin to shift back and forth, she finally focuses on his face, slightly licking her lips. "Dom? What are you doing? What was that all about?" She was looking forward to having a meal with him, and to have a good conversation over a couple of drinks. But this changed everything, and she didn't quite know what to do about it.

As she kissed him back, he moved his large, lean hand to the side of her face. He had hope, at least for that little moment. He released her as she pushed herself away from him. He knew it. That she wouldn't feel the same about him. Why did he have to be so stupid and do something like that? He might as well tell her about his crush over her. Since she obviously didn' see him that way when he did to her. He pushed his wine glass away from him. he didn't want anymore to drink. He folded the sleeves up until they were near his elbows, showing off his muscualr triceps. He leaned back on the bench, using his amrs adn props.
"I like you. Like really really like you. But I kept my feelings to myself, beucase I knew you wouldn't feel the same way. And because it would wreck our friendship. But then I just wrecked it. All because my feelings for you got in the way. Being a 24 year old guy, you would expect me to just come right out, admitting my feelings right? But I couldn't. You had that affect on me.." He said, slowly, but kind of quickly at the same time, if you get my drift.
He picked up his wine glass, holding it by the stem and drank the rest of it rather quickly. Feeling the muskiness going down hiis throa, a result of drinking the wine too quickly. "You don't have to stay here if you don't want to." He mumbled. He didn't want her to leave, but after what he did, she might as well have never talked to him again.
OOC: eugh. blechy.

((s'okay, no worries!))
Dom's touch had left Lexi's skin tingling, and she reached up to her face, trying to rub the feeling away. Why did he pick that exact moment to kiss her? Yeah, she had enjoyed it, but it was admitting to herself that she felt something around him, when maybe she thought she shouldn't. There was a world of difference between them in age, but suddenly, she thought that maybe she was making too much of an issue out of it. As she watched him roll up his sleeves, she had a brief moment of imagining that he had his arms wrapped around her, and she blinked, trying to listen to what he was saying.
And then his confession of his feelings for her, and his fear of ruining their friendship, almost made her open her mouth in astonishment. Her lips parted slightly, before she caught herself, and her gaze was locked onto his eyes. She was searching for anything that could be a deception, some kind of excuse to just turn, and walk out. But Dom just wasn't the type, and as she watched him finish off his wine, she realized how much they both had been hiding from each other. But was she ready to admit that to him, and see if they could make something work from it all?
Sighing softly, closing her brown eyes briefly to gather her thoughts, she wanted to run over to him. But instead she walked slowly, keeping her dark eyes on his, until she was only a couple of inches away. "Dom, I... I have a small confession to make." A small smile, would he believe her if she said something so indirect to him? It was worth a try. "When I blamed the cab driver for making me almost late by dropping me off down the street, it was only part of the truth. The real reason was that I couldn't decide what I wanted to wear tonight. You see, this friend of mine, who invited me over for dinner, I really wanted to impress him. He's smart, witty, has a great smile, and is going to be a doctor someday. He's older too, but maybe that's not so important. I've been thinking a lot about him lately, and maybe, I wanted something a little more than friendship. But I didn't want to lose him, as a friend. Does this sound familiar to you?"
Reaching up to touch his cheek, she smiles, his warm skin under her fingertips felt so good. Talking in a low voice, since they were so close together, Lexi had made her decision. "I think I want to stay, I'm really hungry, and I came all this way. And we really won't know what will happen, but who knows, it may work out between us. So, what do you say, Doctor Hudson? You going to finish making that pasta with the wonderful aroma for me?" Leaning up on her toes, she watches his eyes, as she slowly brought her lips to touch his sensual mouth, and kissed him softly. Would he be the one to shy away now, or did he really mean what he said? She would know in the next few moments.

As Alexia said she had a confession to make, he nodded his head for her to proceed with her confessing. A smile grew on his face, slowly, as he listened to what she had to say. Indeed it was familiar to him. The person that she was talking about was him. Inside, he was smiling like a kid who just walked int the candy and came out with a bit of everything and also he was jumping for joy inside but kept his cool, not wanting to look like an idiot. But he was probably smiling like a complete fool anyway. He moved his face into her hand when she reached up to touch his face. He loved the feel of her skin against his. He grew all warm and fuzzy. Extreme romance novel moment. He grinned as she said she would stay for dinner and felt her soft lips against his. Instinctively, he moved his hands to both sides of her face, lowering his head and bringing her in closer, kissing her back, smoothly and slowly. He was much taller than her. And he was enjoying the kiss very much so.
"So you spent that time sexying up for me?" He said, pulling away reluctantly, his eyes darting to her beautiful features and kissed her again, smiling as he did so.
He kissed her a few more times before pulling away to put the food in dishes so they could begin to eat. He planted one more kiss on her lips before he moved to the stove to turn off the pots. He knew that really, he should stray away from the pots during cooking. Oh well. Taking in the smell, he knew it was just ready. He pulled out some plats from the cupboard and dished out the pasta on plates and spooned some sauce on them. Also pulling out the garlic bread, taking in the beautiful smell of it and put it out on a plate also. He carried them out onto the coffee table and placed them down. It was better to eat out her rather in the kitchen. He headed back into the kitchen to take out the glasses and wine if they needed a refill. "I was thinking we eat in the lounge room instead of the kitchen because as you can see, my table isn't the cleanest of places." He said.
