She walked through Times Square listening to the music in her head, stopping to look in the windows of many stores. She wanted to shoes, she wanted skirts, she wanted underwear. She wanted many things, but did she need them. No. She stopped in a window and sighed.

A quick glance was taken across the street, eyes shifting each way. Dodging a couple of cars, he jogged quietly across the street. Roman liked the busy city streets, there were so many people to watch, and many things to keep busy on. He weaved throughout the people, but eventually gave up walking down the middle, and glued himself to the windows. Gaze shifted inside, quietly admiring the people inside, and the clothing modeled. You could learn a lot from a person by what they wore, or what they looked at to buy. A fraction of a second before he would have run right into Kaylee, but he just stood there, watching the people inside.
{My muse is on vacation at the moment.}

{ it's okay ;] } She looked up away from the window. She couldn't spend that much on a pair of shoes. But oh she wanted to so badly. She looked up and in front of her. She stepped back a bit shocked. Then she registered who it was, and giggled. She decided she'd stand there still until he too realized she was there, and that it was her. Hoping maybe he'd have a shocking reaction to her, that she did. She couldn't help but giggle again, she hated her laugh. It was so distinct and so annoying to her.

Roman had a tendancy of breaking off into his own world, and that was just what he was doing now. He could seem so totally with it, and then he sort of seemed lost. His attention was still on you, or whatever, but wasn't in the present moment. The sound of a small giggle registered in his mind and he looked up, eyes searching for the culprit. He jumped back a little as she was directly infront of him. His hand immediately moved to the back of his neck, something he did often when embarassed or whatnot. "Exactly how long have I been standing here like that?" He asked, biting his lip to contain a laugh.

She giggled some more until he realized it was her. She thought it was cute that he could just stand there in his own little world. She wondered what he thought about, what went through other peoples minds. "At least fifteen minutes" She laughed and continued "But don't worry about it, I thought it was funny." She leaned up to give him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "How are you?" She asked sweetly.
{ sorry, that sucked }

Roman smiled, shrugging lightly. "Haven't beat my all time record of wanderings yet," He stated, allowing a small laugh to come forth. He silently returned the hug, glancing back down to her as they parted. "How are you?" "I'm pretty good, and yourself?" he asked, leaning against the brick part of the building, tracing the lines in the wall with his finger. He had always needed something for his hands to do, it was like they were their own little people, constantly on the move. One time or another, he had learned to accept the things about him, and that had been just one of the things that he'd taken in. Habits were a way of life, and without them you weren't necessarily you. Everyone had their own quirks and things that trademarked them. Habits were just one thing, but your way of living entirely could be something that differed from other people.

She laughed. "I don't doubt it, you look pretty good at wandering off". She smiled at his question. "I'm great, but starving" She laughed a little. "Ice cream isn't really food but would you like to join me?"
She loved ice cream. More than probably anything in the world, every flavor every topping. The girls in her high school used to make fun of how much she ate. She couldn't help that she could eat a lot and have it not affect her weight, she had a fast metabolism.
She didn't know really anything about Roman, he looked like a sweetheart and someone she'd really get along with, but looks can be appealing, she really hoped he proved her wrong.

A grin spread across his handsome features, a light chuckle given. "Yeah, I guess I am," He agreed, a hand moving to his stomach nodding lightly. He was about to speak, but she beat him to it. "Of course it's food, but sure, I'd love to," He replied, knowing he didn't necessarily need the extra calories, but whatever, you only lived once, right?
Roman wasn't too big on sweets, but you put it in front of him, and he'd eat it. Though, he deeply hated potato chips for some odd reason. Ice cream was his favorite junk food though. Usually a thing t oclear up some kind of depression, but it was always nice when you weren't wallowing.
"C'mon, my treat," He added, motioning further down the sidewalk, inviting her to walk with him.

She ran her hands through her hair and then smiled. "That's nice of you, thank you" She followed his invitation and stood next to him, her fingers quickly grazing against his leg as they walked. She looked up and over to him. He had a nice profile, well proportioned eyebrows, quite little nose, and wonderful lips. His face in itself was quite attractive. "So Roman, tell me about yourself. Favorite color? Favorite childhood pet? Worst fear?" She giggled a bit. "Anything" She listening to her feet click against the sidewalk, as they slowly walked, wondering where they'd go for ice cream. She looked in the windows as they passed, secretly longing to stop in each one and getting whatever she pleased.

Roman smiled gently, nodding in response. He somewhat thought for a moment about her questions, gaze shifting to the sky for a bit, then back down to her as he came up with an answer. "Well, my favorite color would have to be blue, I think... As far as a pet goes, a Golden Retriever named Sasha," He paused, unsure about whether to actually give his main fear, or lie. No, he couldn't lie, that would be wrong. Starting off on the wrong foot with someone you didn't know a lot about wasn't good. "To be honest, I'm terribly afraid of my father," He added, not daring to look her way as the long scar on his left forearm burned with remembrance. He dug his hands into his pockets, trying to make the sensation go away. After a while it did, and he looked back to her. "What about you?"

She smiled as they walked along. It was a beautiful day out, not too cold, pretty warm with a chill to it. They sun beamed brightly through the clouds warming her back as they walked. She nodded as she listened to his answers. He got to his fear and she could tell he was hesitant. She knew she shouldn't have asked. As he told her his fear she looked at him with sympathy, she knew exactly how he felt, but she could never tell him. It doesn't always comfort people when you tell them that you know exactly what it's like, it never changes anything. She had had a horrible past with her father as well. She never spoke of her mother, probably because of what had happened, and the mistake Kaylee made. She knew she'd never be fully punished for what she did, but she felt she deserved it. Yet at the same time she was afraid of that day.
She smiled up at him "My favorite color is ... yellow. I love my cat Inspector, and my worst fear is ... fate." She looked at her heels as they continued to click then up at his face giving him a small smile shrugging her shoulders a bit. She knew he'd never understand why she was afraid of fate, but maybe one day he would.

Roman was very open about the subject with people he really knew. But, they had to be completely trusted with the information. Actually, he never held to that specific wording, for he never really told anyone about it anymore, unless they were so lucky to look at his writing or drawings. There were some people here that he knew pretty well, but not well enough to spill out every little detail about his childhood. The best part of it all was all the alone time he got, the freedom of it all. He could do relatively anything, and no one would care. That of course, was until Lacey had come into the picture. So, maybe sometimes he'd deserved all the nasty word lashing, and sleeping on the deck in the rain. The whole 'rain sleeping' thing was nice in the summer. It gave you a feeling like your troubles were just being washed away. Up until the moment someone took hold of your shoulders and gave them a heavy shake, you were at peace with the world.
Fate? He let the word repeat a couple of times, though nodding. There could be a bunch of possible reasons and outcomes to that word, but he wasn't going to push the subject. "Hmm..." Roman began thinking up another question, a gentle smile forming as he came up with one. "Where'd you grow up?" He asked, not really looking for a too detailed response, but a simple city and state. Or, if she lived outside of the country before here. Though, Roman doubted that, for she didn't really have an accent that would prove the point and fact.
