That ashamed, stupid feeling had taken a good hold over Teddy. He hadn't meant to make Evelyn feel like shit. In fact, that was the opposite. He hadn't even planned to say what he did, it just kind of came out. But he'd said it though, whether he meant it or not. He took a few deep breaths, trying to get the tears to either fall or disappear back inside of his head. "Evelyn, I--"
He stopped though, once she crawled over and snuggled into him. His arms instantly wrapped around her, one around her waist and the other gently on her head. He held on to her waist tightly, one tear falling over his cheek. The rest had melted back into his head. He felt no need to actually cry anymore. He was still ashamed of himself, but hugging Evelyn always cheered him up a little, if not a lot. He thought he felt a little tension; her breathing quicken. But he figured it was because she was upset and in tears.
"Evelyn, I love you. I need you by my side." If any other bystander had heard that, they would've guessed that they were dating and had a fight. But no, Teddy meant this in a best-friend way. Nothing more than that, but it meant so much to him. He'd give almost anything for Evelyn. They'd been such good friends for a while now, and they could share everything. At least, that's what it felt like to Teddy. She was the only one that knew all the secrets of his old school, and he really felt like that brought her even closer to him.

Evelyn's body was feeling weak and scrawny like it had in the past as her eyes closed and she felt light headed and her breathe was still growing fast as she took in deep breathes. "T-Te-ddy.." she said, her voice barely above a whisper as she held on to him. "..I-I l-l-ove you." she whispered as she held on to him. She didn't know what was going on with her but everything was spinning and she was feeling dizzy. She opened her eyes as her eyes grew big and she took in a few deep breathes as she looked up at him and shook her head. Tears were streaming down her cheeks as she tried her best to hold on to him. If he wasn't holding her head up it probably would have fell backwards "I-I-I'm n-not..okay.."she whispered as she shook her head and began to grow worried.
She had not had a panic attack since she was in high school and she hadn't told Teddy about it so she knew he would grow worried. She just held on to him as she let her eyes close and she just tried to act like it wasn't happening because she honestly did not want it to. She just wanted to go back and lay with him and not worry about anything that was going on because everything just seemed to be going terribly and nothing ever seemed to change how she felt about herself being a slut it just seemed to grow worse.
She knew she was a slut even though she didn't want to face the fact that she actual was. She wanted it all to change as if she wasn't a slut. She wanted to change everything about herself and begin to learn how to love people and not just live for lust because that wouldn't give her that special feeling she felt with some people.

Teddy kept his one arm tightly wound around her waist, almost ready to burst into tears. He'd almost lost the one friend he cared about the most, just because he'd let a couple words slip that she was a whore. He felt really bad about even uttering those dreadful words, but he'd done so. Besides, she would have to admit to herself that she was one soon, before she ended up with no one to love.
"Evelyn, I love you too..." he replied, even if he'd just said it not so long ago. He could say it over and over to this girl, and think nothing of it. He took a deep breath in through his nose, his entire body going into a relaxed mode. He could stay right here, like this all night. It just felt like a good thing to do, even if it probably wouldn't happen. But a guy could dream, no?
The next words that left the girl's lips scared him a little. He pulled back to look at her face, his eyes worried. He'd gone from relaxed to scared and worried in a split second, just from the three words Evelyn had just said. "What's wrong?" he asked, moving the hand from her waist to her cheeks, to wipe away some of the tears. "What's happening?"

Her breathing was quickened and she could barely control it as she took in deep breathes. "P-Panic attack." she said as she pulled away from him and layed her head down against her legs as she took in deep breathes. "..I haven't had them since high school." she whispered hoping that this was just a weird once in a year type thing. She couldn't deal with having these often. It often made people thing she was on some drugs of some sort.
"I-It's not you it's j-just.." she said as her face flushed a pale color and she felt a lump in her throat. It was getting hard to breathe and she felt like someone was choking her as she began to grow dizzy and she took in a deep breathe of air as her body felt weak and she leaned against the cool sand just hoping it would all go away.
She couldn't even let herself look up at Teddy because everything was just too hard right now. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she let her eyes close and she slipped away in that wonderland she'd been trying to avoid.

Teddy raised his eyebrows in alarm, as he listened to her words. She looked scared, almost. He had no idea what a panic attack was. Sure, he'd heard about them. But he never had to deal with them on such a first-hand basis. Or, at all really. He was really starting to get scared, and he had no clue what he was supposed to do. "Umm, Evelyn? Should I call emergency?" he asked unsuredly.
"Just breathe...umm...should I-should I call an ambulance?" he asked again, getting more and more scared as time went on. Eventually though, it was no use to even talk to her. Her eyes had closed, and he knew what he was going to do. Whether Evelyn needed it or not, he still had to do it.
Teddy stayed on his knees next to Evelyn, as he pulled out his cellphone and dialed for an ambulance. "You need to send one out..quick." he said, his voice high-pitched and rushed. "Panic attack." he added, with the same tone as before. "I don't know..she just collapsed. Just now. The lake. Huntley." After a few more questions, and making sure they hung up first he flipped his phone shut. He felt incredibly helpless, with no ideas of what he could do to help her at all.

She was beyond weak and she had no clue what was going on before it all spun out of control and she had passed out on the sand at the lake. She wasn't sure of what had happened in between but she was at the hospital and she'd awoke to people talking in hushed voices and she layed there in the hospital bed as her eyes gradually opened. She moved her hand a bit to feel an IV stuck in her arms as she winced a bit and looked around the room at the blurred figures - one of whom was Teddy.
She knew she'd just closed her eyes and layed on the sand and that was it - she remembered hearing his voice get all nervous and shaky but nothing more. "T-Teddy?" she called out helplessly from the hospital bed as she looked around the room for him. She could give a shit less about anyone else there all she wanted was him. Though they'd been fighting and she'd gotten all worked up over it she just needed to hear his voice and just hug him and not worry about any of this but she did want to know what had happened once she'd passed out. She was just assuming she had seeing as how she couldn't remember how she got to the hospital and she was almost positive she didn't just end up here.
"T-Teddy? She called out once more as her voice began to grow shaky and panicked. She hated not knowing where she was at all times and she hated being in hospitals but obviously it was necessary. "Miss Pierce you need to get some rest but I'll let you talk to him." a nurse said before walking out of the room to leave the two of them alone.

Teddy sat in one of the uncomfortable, and rather hard hospital chairs. But the last thing on his mind was the chair underneath him. He was fidgeting nervously, his hands one minute drumming on the arms of the chair, the next moment running through his hair. This whole scenario was scaring the wits out of him. His last incident in a hospital was when he needed to go after taking one hit too many. In other words, overdosing. He hadn't planned on even looking at one of these places again. But here he was, sitting scared and nervous in the thick of it all, his best friend in one of the beds.
He jumped at almost every small noise, so when Evelyn's voice cut through the air, he jumped to his feet. "Evelyn!" he said, half-relieved. He filled the gap between himself and the bed, and he looked down at her. "How are you?" he asked softly, grabbing one of her hands in his. The one thing that scared him most was if Evelyn was going to die on him.
One of the scariest things on the planet for Teddy now, was death. Having a near-death experience himself, he wouldn't be able to handle it if anyone else were to die on him. Let alone his best friend. "Are you okay?" So he'd pretty much just repeated himself. But he was a tad impatient with her answer to the question; even if she was entitled to a little time.

She had a huge headache and she couldn't quite remember everything that happened. She glanced around the hospital room and she felt a tear run down her cheek. She had a fear of hospitals and she hated being here she'd had many horrible experiences here. She looked up at Teddy and blinked away the tears as she looked up at him. "Teddy.." she said though her voice was faint as she looked up at him.
She managed to get her hand to grasp his as she squeezed it gently and gave him a small smile. She just wanted to lay in his arms and just let him tell her everything was going to be okay but she knew it wasn't going to be alright at all. Nothing was going to be alright. Not right now at least. She looked down at the IV in her arm and she freaked out a bit as she layed there against the hospital pillows tiredly.

As of this moment, Teddy had completely forgotten his hate for hospitals. Evelyn had just woken up. It's like somebody took their hand and wiped it across his mind. It was completely empty accept for Evelyn, and the worry of if she was feeling alright, and if she was going to live. Even if she was awake, there was still the chance that she'd die. It did give a better chance that she wouldn't die, but he couldn't help to think about that minor chance.
He tightened his grip gently on her hand, returning her smile. His other hand reached up and he brushed the hair away from her face, continuing to smile. "Don't talk." he said quietly, pulling the hand from her head. "Just save your energy." She had to pull through this. She just had to, or else he'd probably spin off into the black hole of drugs once more. Teddy had been craving them already, just by her landing in the hospital. His craving would be worse if Evelyn's situation got worse.
