Such a nice smile from Dean demanded a nice one from her. And Lexi gave it to him, her dark eyes glittering from the flashing lights inside of the club. His voice, when he spoke, just seemed to barely make it to her ears over the loud music. But she could understand what he was saying, without too much problem. And he was talking about living for today, and not worry about the future. She agreed with him mostly, it was the best way to have a little fun. But she sometimes did think about the future, and wanted to know how she was going to survive. And he thought she was just scared, was that a way to get her to stand closer to him? "Oh, I see, Dean, you're going to be my protector now. And I should feel safe next to you. You mean, like this?" She stands a little closer to him, part of her body touching his, and she looks up into his eyes and grins. Maybe she would see if she was making him hot or not, or if he would back away. They were going to push each other all night, that was certain.
And Dean saying that she was going to have to trust him made Lexi a little more unsure that he was trustworthy. But the tone of his voice made it sound like he was trying to be serious. But he was right, she was going to have to trust him a little, if she was going to spend any time with him tonight. "You never know, Dean, I just might find a way to know when you are telling the truth. But I'll let you know when I do. And I'll trust you not to make a fool of me on the dance floor. Okay?" A big smile, and a slight wink, showing that she did trust him. At least for a little while.
With Dean's hands on her waist, Lexi could tell that he was trying to be gentile with her. Some guys just wanted the opportunity to start putting their hands all over you, but she could tell that Dean wasn't that way. It was just enough to make her skin tingle slightly, and pull their bodies closer together. And he was moving his body with hers, looking down on her, and she looked back up at him. Returning his smile with a genuine one of her own, she could tell he was enjoying himself with her. And she was finding that she enjoyed being so close to him. She had danced with other guys before like this, but this seemed a little different. Was it because of their game, how close their lips were, or their little wager? She hears him yelling back at her, over the music, and he says something about a date, if she won. "Only if I win. What do you want if you win? And remember, we have a week. I'm certain I can dig up something on you in a week. Then I won't be able to call you 'Mr. Mysterious' anymore, I guess." A slight laugh, looking up into his eyes, and her hands move across his back. She was going to win, if she did nothing but work on finding out something on him. It wasn't going to be that hard.
